Last time I checked anyone and I mean anyone interfering or impeding a police investigation can face charges. I'm not condoning arresting the employee but charge or file all legal actions against the company itself for its disgusting policies. Nobody should be vilifying that employee because we don't know all the circumstances. What strict rules do they need to follow along with what limitations do they have to the programs they are using well. Working at a call center myself I found out just how much one's hands can be tied and how undertrained during emergency situations we were.

Why don't they ever bring up what is actually owed in student loans is half what is owed by many is interest not even the principal my sons is double what he borrowed now so he would still be paying back what he borrowed only thing they would loose is interest and might then get paid as it is now not happening he made 30k last year first year above 16k and has no health insurance

I'm not only a first generation college graduate but I'm also first generation graduate of a post grad program. My loans total 184K. And that's with scholarships for my undergrad while working full time. My post grad program required all students to sign a contract to NOT work with the understanding if you were caught working, you'd be kicked out. My loan exit counseling predicted I should make 800K a year to reasonably pay back my loans.I only make 100K a year with 184K in loans and work in healthcare. It should have been illegal to charge that much for my degree. And I know a lot of people in similar circumstances. This is the exact situation this law would help the most. Sharing truths like this would help people understand.

To answer the son of the taxi driver - did you benefit from the corporate tax cut and bailouts of the last decade? They were done regardless weren't they? Spending money on the average people is much more morally justifiable than spending it on the wealthy.

@@williamssister8804 Thank you for your input. FYI - LLC is limited to one person. Meaning an LLC can only have one person in the company as and Employee. Corporate Tax Cuts are usually not given to single employee companies but multi employee corporations. Saying that any LLC and independent contractor could have taken advantage of the Payrol protection progam and many of the contractors that work for me did. Again thank you for the post.

You can thank Jerome Powell for consistently raising the federal interest rate. Given what you stated, I guess this means paying $10,000 on your student loan won't help anyway.

Same... I've been paying it odd for 7 years straight and noticed it made NO difference so I put it on deference so I can make catch up on my credit card bills instead. As a teacher my income is extremely limited, so when I held off on my students loans, I paid off 3 credit cards that I needed when I was a college student (art major). Since the student loan pause on Covid, I paid off another credit card and my car, and saved me some stress during the pandemic. Now, if I don't have to focus on student loans, maybe I can buy a house. Maybe. Otherwise, I'm forever paying off the interests that is constantly accruing and my teacher program would kick in to pay off my loans, part of the reason why I became a teacher.

You're gonna have to pay over 3x's what you owe every month to start seeing that balance drop. That's the only way I was able to do it. Cut back on spending, vacations, clothes, got roommates and a part time job etc

quit paying min. balance due late and quit living like you earn what you think you should make, work a little extra. you'd be surprised. lots of people do it. those that were smart enough to actually get something out of higher education. 🍻

And that is what is making the huge divide between the upper and lower classes bigger and bigger. With all the taxes we pay, college should not cost a penny. The GI Bill restoration is a great idea and congress should give benefits to the great many families that well deserve and have long awaited to be recognized for their valiant sacrifice, it's dispicaple that some politicians actually argue that the generational wealth gap is so egregiously uneven between Caucasian and African American citizens, congress needs to do so much better

I listened to the Supreme Court arguments and the absolute dumbest question was about the fairness of one person going to college and then getting his loan forgiven. Magically implied in the question was that he/she got a degree, got a great job and all student debt was covered by debt forgiveness. Yet another person, who did not go to college, got a loan for a lawn-care business and does not get his loan forgiven. Funny to think that lawn-care is what the justice thinks of for a high-school graduate starting a business - someone who would service the justice in some way. Even funnier is the wacky concept of fairness the justice has. How about how fair it was when PPP loan forgiveness landed in the hundreds of millions for members of Congress and not for many small businesses that were unable to get those PPP loans?

The point is being overwhelmed by weather you have never dealr with. Does Utah see -40 ? Do the good people of Utah know how to plug their gas cars in? 90% of the world didnt even know a regular car can be outfitted to do this this. I grew up very far north! I also know to keep an indystrial generator because sometimes the power goes out when it's-40. Have some sympathy..

@@antoniahamilton3201 They have a block heater. It's been standard in Canadian cars for over 50 years. It's a heating element that keeps the oil from freezing. There is a plug on the outside of the car, usually at the radiator intake. Vehicles should be plugged in when its 5 degrees F° or colder. Fun fact- A popular Christmas gift in Canada is a 'Remote car starter' which is like a Fob that you can click from 30 feet away and get your car nice and toasty before you go to work. 😀🇨🇦🚘🚕🚒🚚

Biden tried to pass free college and trade schools but two corporate Democrats sunk it. Government bailouts for billion dollar companies representing 100,000 people max who then buy back their own shares, or a partial loan forgiveness that will help 50 million Americans who like MOST Americans, barely keep their heads above water, cant buy homes, or start businesses or anything else because life happened to them. 400 billion dollars into the economy will also supercharge it and help everyone. 1 in 5 American children shouldn't go hungry in the richest country in history.

The young man who says it's not fare he can't take advantage of a student loan debt forgiveness program, seems not to believe in helping others unless he can take advantage of the opportunity. What if everyone in America thought this way? I don't think it is fare, that many people don't pay their taxes, because the government allows tax breaks, I can't take advantage of. I don't think it's fare to pay school taxes when, I don't have children. I don't think it is fare to pay for government assistance in EBT, because I buy my groceries. Doesn't this sounds very anti America.

My sister paid off over $100,000 in ten years. So can they! They're young and can wait that long or longer to have the luxuries in life because taxpayer's are the ones who'll pick up the tab for this. That is what we have all done for years and years! No. I won't pay for someone else's college education when I, all four of my sisters, and my mother went to college this way. We all hunkered down and paid off our loans, as did my children. No. Loans are not free money and no on else should pay for their degrees except them or their parents. Bad behavior, such as never paying back loans, and being rewarded for it at the expense of everybody else is always wrong.
