It is a path of least resistance while you do it. But several weeks during after it’s horrible for knees. Nothing bad just use light weight.

My best growth has come by doing leg extension first to exhaust those quads then go do hack or pendulum squats

For quad sweep, go narrow with parallel foot placement and knees almost touching. Wide stance works the tear drop instead. Place your feet low to avoid glute activation.
