Tesla now sets the record straight once more about Giga Berlin’s water consumption.
Tesla Giga Berlin-Brandenburg is already dubbed as the company’s most sustainable and efficient facility, but it still attracts a consistent stream of opposition. Among the most notable arguments against Tesla Giga Berlin is the facility’s water consumption, which critics have alleged is dangerously high. Tesla, for its part, has been doubling down on its efforts to set the record straight about Giga Berlin’s water usage.
Teslarati notes that, "granted, Giga Berlin is situated in a water protection area. But it should be noted that Mercedes-Benz also operates a factory in Ludwigsfelde that is built in a water protection area. That factory employs 2,000 workers and has an output of about 50,000 Sprinters per year, and it has been operational since the early 1990s. The Mercedes-Benz facility also consumes less than 100,000 cubic meters of water per year. With this in mind, Tesla already uses far less water per vehicle in Giga Berlin, but as per rbb24, the Mercedes-Benz factory has not attracted any protests about its consumption or possible dangers to date."

The issue of the protesters is simple to understand. The actual protestors are radical environments' but the driving force (follow the money) are the Unions and the other German car companies. It is common knowledge that VW is a large financial contributor to the same groups that are doing the protesting.

The issue of water use at Tesla Giga Berlin is complex. Environmental concerns about a factory in a water protection area are understandable. Transparency about water usage and mitigation efforts from Tesla would be beneficial. While union involvement and competitor motivations are possible factors, more information is needed to confirm their exact role in the protests.

Heres another twist to this.The economy in that area is going to revolve around a foreign car company. And an American one at that. Thats gotta sting a little. its MUCH more than water.........

@@TorquenewsTesla has stated over and over that their water usage has been less that what was even agreed upon. But it seem to fall on deaf ears.
