Everything about this property brings to mind what a current day French Sun King would build in lieu of Versailles - which is, I believe, what is alluded to in the name Château du Soleil. This may be the first time I’ve seen a design concept so successfully marry old world, traditional design with the features of modern opulence. As aspirational as many new builds are in their scale and their choice of luxury materials, all too often they fall short - far, far short - of delivering a complete aesthetic experience. As these designers have chosen to encompass all the best elements borne over the past centuries - a coffered ceiling, an intricately adorned dome, mosaics, carved plasterwork, gold and silver leafing, ornate lighting fixtures, wide mouldings, marble floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, tasteful color choices, a quasi-open concept, perfectly integrated landscaping... one would never have the sense that “something is missing.” I dearly hope the foreign delegation that I believe will ultimately acquire it hosts many grand-scale events, and exposes its beauty to as many as possible.

Its really more of an issue with taste levels. One can easily build a new build using SYMMETRICAL concepts which are the main difference in historic homes and new builds. Enfilades, etc. "Open floor plans" with faux Louis XVI plasterwork always will look less than impresive. Dimensions and a good eye are more important than the overpaying for marble.

That's what I call a home that's a mansion 10 bedrooms that a mansion!! I've watched the other channels that had beautiful ❤️ Mansions but they only had three maybe four bedroom to me that's not a mansion!! They are beautifully appointed and they come with magnificent price tags!! But for me they fall short of what I've always thought and considered a mansion!!

The home is located on Balls Hill Road, just a short distance from the crossroads with Old Dominion Drive, in McLean, VA You are able to see the front facade from the street. I call it "The Hotel"!!!

Очень большие комнаты современого модерн дома. Этот дом немного холоден нет красок, и хочется уюта., тепла. Кроме этого проект дорогой и больше похож на музей. Внешне красивый с садом и фонтанами. Точнее это кич.
