dads actually do it all the time and nobody cares because they’re seen as protective. lots of dads do things like make toddler girls sign “no dating” pledges, get really freakishly obsessed about their daughters virginities and “jokingly” threaten their daughters boyfriends by like standing at the door when he comes over holding a shotgun.

People would definitely be more openly wary but this kind of creepy stuff does unfortunately happen with dads to daughters. Like legit pledging your “purity” to your fathers is something a lot of Christian communities do.

The girl dad term is usually equated to dads who have to learn to do hair, and get their nails painted, play tea party. I was a raised by a single dad and he had to do puzzles with me, and did my hair, let me do his hair, I made him fake dinners when I pretended to be a chef. My mom who left us, now she was always talking about how we all needed her and but she got remarried and left us. And how my brother had mother wounds and why he needed a woman ‘just like her.’ She prides herself heavily on being just like her dad, and his favorite (her dad was a terrible person), and how men love her. She once tracked my older brother (in his mid 20’s at the time), down because he didn’t respond after a date. She called the cops and they went door to door at a college dorm…🤦🏽‍♀️

My mother was this “boy-mom”. She fixed on me and my brother. She touched us, she talked to us about sex and she acted more like our girlfriend and not our mother, in front of others. And people just accepted and were not questioning it because she was our mother and a woman, but when no one was around, she abused us sexually since I was about 4 years old until i was 15. From showing p0rn to incestuous sex. And now I'm gay and she was absolutely angry about it because she really thought I wanted and belonged to her. I heard a lot of strange reactions to my abuse (most people still don't know, but some) around me, even in professional field. They asked me if I liked it, or that I was lucky because my mother was 'h0t', or they had more empathy for her because my mother would never have done it if she hadn't been provoked in some way.... We enjoyed it so much that my brother kjilled himself and I have cptbs. Sorry for bringing it up, but that came up after the video and your comment.It makes me so angry that people miss all the possible signs of abuse when it comes to women (of course I'm not saying that every woman who behaves like this is abusing her children).
