What tests should I get, if I came back to an improperly fire remediated apt & my lungs/throat burn from TVOCs that are higher than my meter can read and getting sharp pain in my head? I feel like I’m being poisoned and dying a slow and painful death and might get cancer, if something isn’t done. I need to find a new primary care doctor that can help

How is the cork sticking together? I read that the "glue" ist made of Polyurethan or epoxy. These will offgas as well won't they?

Each cork flooring company would be different. Not ALL cork is low toxin, as yes, you're correct, they could potentially use toxic adhesive. I linked a toxin free cork flooring brand in my blog post this week that might be better suited for a low toxin home.

I had my bedroom floor replaced by a supposedly low voc laminated floor. The sample didn't smell but when it was installed it definitely smells. How can I tell it is not off gassing? Some people are not bothered by the smell, but I am definitely disappointed with the whole process. I thought I would have a better space to sleep by getting rid of the carpet...

I'm so sorry -- that sounds terrible. Unfortunately, if it is off gassing, it will likely be doing so at the most noticeable levels for the first 6 months to 2 years. If you can't take the flooring out, increase ventilation and get a lot of fresh air inside the room. Also, a high quality air purifier will help with some of that too.
