I like tall skinny tyres on my Troopy on a steel factory rim I have a set of Dunlop Road Grippers made in Japan pulled off new land cruisers $130 each . Great tyres for bush work and a easy tyre to find in remote places

Narrow tyres prob more fuel efficient & don't strain the gearbox as much 👍

I like tall and skinny, 7.50 r16 14 ply tyres. Good on bitumen, off road and will bag length ways when pressure dropped. No flats ever, quiet and good economy on my hj61. Driven many years remote outback WA.

@@davidmolloy2634 For bush work on my new troop carrier I run factory 225/95/16 great performance and less stress on the drive line. If you can manage your tyre pressure you Gert great performance and reliability

Well the results speak for themselves Brother. Didn’t see any negatives in the tyre from that review when it comes to our personal needs. Will definitely be a consideration when purchasing our next set of Muddies Great review Brother. Your camera work and presentation skills are up there with the Best in the Industry. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Brad & Fi 👌🤙

I've been running the Toyo Open Country AT2 in 285/75R16 but they are no longer available so I bought the new Toyo Open Country AT3 285/75R16. I'll see how they go. You might want to upgrade your brakes by going to the DBA XP brake pads now your turning bigger rubber. The DBA XP pads are an easy brake upgrade over the stock pads, you'll like the improvement they make.

My old man used to run the at's and liked them, that's interesting, I'll have a look at the brake pads mate, thanks for that.

Cheers mate! It's definitely made a difference, high quality heat reflective paint with multiple Coates. Seems to be working well.

Looks like they're fit for purpose. 40k kms in rough country with no punctures, worth every cent in my book. 👍
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
For sure mate, they've got a good reputation in general.

Nice review mate. Remember you fitted them like yesterday. Will you fit these back or going back to MT Baja Boss? Always proper reviews from you no B&S. Thanks mate

Thanks mate! I've got something in the pipeline, I won't spill the beans just yet. There will be a change soon though.

5:18 i thought a puncture in the side wall rendered the tyre too unsafe for repair (a tyre shop owner said) Ps, thanks for video 👍

Hey mate, solid content. I've got a GXL on the way and I was wondering if the fender flares look like they come off without causing issues/leaving holes. Hoping I can run the vehicle without them and it'll just look like the Workmate front end. Might sound dumb but I can't say I'm a fan of the black fenders flares.
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
Cheers mate, I reckon they'd be fine to take off.

Good review on the tyres mate. Can’t believe you’ve already done 50’000km’s in 7 months. How are the MT64’s holding up?
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
Cheers mate! Yeah the km's are ridiculous, front end springs were changed for the correct ones, night n day difference! Rear needs tweaking I reckon, in theory the 600kg leafs should be perfect, but she's a little oversprung so watch this space lol. so far, i really like the MT64'S
@ARCHIES_79_LCАй бұрын
@@OutbackOffroadNT Yeah awesome mate. I went the MT64’s and 400kg Parabolics leafs pre rego gvm 3780kg it gets registered next week, can’t wait to drive it and see if I’ve made the right decision or not.

@@OutbackOffroadNT Just a heavy duty steel Toyota tray. Nothing to flash mate. I’ll only have my swag and 2 storage boxes with camping gear.

@@OutbackOffroadNT Also it’ll be a bit stiff in the front like yours was because I’m waiting for the MK 2 bar to get fitted.

They have pretty much the same construction as these MT's, so they are strong! I've never ran them so can't say to much mate.

Time for a dwiz rear diff so you can run the same wheels and swap them round easier in the shed
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
Yeah look I've ran 0 offsets all around from factory and it's fine, only reason I run the different offset is purely for looks. But yeah would certainly be easier with a wider setup.
