The Derry Central line was never a commercial success in the days when railways were commercial enterprises. Today it, or some variation of it, may still find use in the future if other connecting lines were to be reopened.

I'm a bus driver and I pass these stations often and see the tree line of the track bed and old bridges etc and I always wondered if you would do this line eventually. Nice work.

Decent video on the old local railway it's the Knockoneil River flowing under Boyne bridge in Upperlands the line ran across an Overbridge across the road just 50 yards from the bridge it's gone now though the rail bridge over the rivers still there.

Kilrea station is now a private residence and unfortunately for railway lovers, its now behind huge gates and hedges.

Eamonn great series of videos. I love trains. I rode the line from Portadown through Newtonstewart / Omagh when I was a nipper. My grandmother came from Beragh. What kind of video editing programme do you use? Can it do 'self' inset while narrating? I'd like to use something similar for engineering presentations. Thanks.

Honestly, there’s so much to unpack that I haven’t read the whole thing yet. I’m not sure what I’d say about it in a video though
