My name is Tracy and I garden in Zone 4/5 (maybe zone 5/6 judging by our last winter) in Toronto, Canada.
You are watching a video of my Late Spring Garden Tour, filmed on May 25 - 26. This video is created as a Tribute to all of YOU, my viewers! 💚 I want to take this opportunity to THANK each and every one of my viewers, from the bottom of my heart for your continued love and support - without you, the channel would not be here! I feel so privileged and I cannot thank you enough! Lots of XOXO...💚🪴💚
ps. One year ago, it was on this day in 2020, during the darkest times of the 1st Covid-19 lockdown, that I'd decided to start my KZfaq channel. It all started when friends and families asked me to share recipes and requested to see my garden in person but was unable to visit because of the lockdown. This encouraged me to start my YT journey to share all of my favourite things with you - gardening, baking, and cooking.
I hope this video of my spring garden tour brings you as much joy and happiness as it does for me. Hopefully, it will also motivate you to start creating a garden of your own to enjoy all the beauty that Mother Nature has to offer. I cannot wait to update you on all the plants in the coming weeks.

Thank you so much Fayah!🙏🪴💚. Salvias are so pretty.....I like tall & spiky flowers so it is one plant that I truly love and their blooms compliment all other flowers.....from roses to hydrangeas and everything in between. I would put them in front any garden border.

The way you combined just the right colors, textures, varying plant heights and different plants is a masterpiece. You should be very proud. This is the most beautiful garden I’ve ever seen. It made me cry. Brought back so many memories of my mother. She had such beautiful garden as well. Hi Tracy, I moved into a newly built home in 2019. We only had four evergreen bushes in front of our home. My husband and I began gardening in 2020 and found you. I think we were lucky to have a mild winter and warm May so things got an early start. The garden looks like what we would normally see in June of previous years.

I think I did plant some new plants in the front garden. Also, the lilac got bigger and the tulips didn’t come back so the garden does look very different. 🙏💚🪴

Hi Tracy, what a lovely garden, you have excellent taste. Where do you shop for the trellis supports for the clematis in the front flower beds, they caught my eye. Also want to mention that I have been buying the tiny clematis plants from Canadian Tire but I came across you tuber Ken Black who explained that the root systems are too immature to survive the winter, so I have repotted mine in larger containers with compost/potting soil & time release granule fertilizer, had good success and I just sink the pots in the ground for winter until they are about 3 years old. Also, what fertilizer do you use on your flower beds? Regards from BWG.

Hi Pauline, The trellises and obelisks- they are all from Lowe’s. I think that is a great idea to plant young clematis in compost for a few years until the root system is mature as well. I only use rose slow release fertilizers in combination with ground egg shells on the clematis and roses. All the other perennials I just apply mulch. I have a lot of hydrangeas and because our native soil is alkaline so I apply a handful of used coffee grounds on my hydrangeas every spring and fall. For the last several years I have stopped applying compost to the other perennials all together and they still seem to be performing okay. Happy gardening Pauline! 🤞

Thank you Jyoti, Early spring - rock cress, primrose, creeping phlox, tulips, hyacinth, daffodils, brunnera, etc... Late spring - salvia are the light spiky purple plants I have. Happy gardening!

Thank you Alex! I plants veggies in planters so they aren’t affected by critters in the garden soil. I also plant many herbs around to help keep them away. Hopefully the veggies will continue to be healthy. 🙏💚🪴

Hi Tracy - I just found you on YT in my research on caring for Hydrangeas. I’m gonna try my hand at adding a tree-like Hydrangea to my garden. Your garden is beautiful. Is it set up on a drip system? How often do you water? Thanks!

Hi Tonnie! Hydrangea standards are one of my fav! 💚 I actually water my garden & grass by hand with a hose. Due to our drastic winter temps - drip system don’t tend to last for us. Most of the plants I have in the containers are self water so I don’t have to water them very much. The gardens I water every 2-3 days...but when I do I water the roots deep. The annuals dotted around the front border garden beds - I have been watering a littler more often as they haven’t fully rooted in yet. Happy gardening Tonnie & thank you 🙏 for watching! 🙏💚🪴
