This is great information that I can pass along to my adopter's. It's much easier for them to be able to see how to do it, & be able to have something to be able to refer back to, verses me just verbally trying to instruct them. Thanks for the demonstration! I wish I had known that cats could be trained to take pills before my cat actually needed meds. This is a far better pilling method than what I was taught, and it doesn't put unnecessary/uneven strain on the cat's jaw. I'll definitely be adding this to my cats' "trick" repertoire.

WOW!! Great tips and tricks!! I’ve always been very successful giving liquids… like Amoxicillin (pink sweet stuff) or pills successfully to my cats but, I have the toughest med that my Vet has ever prescribed. One of my cats got away from me last year during the Dixie Fire (California). He has now gotten Gingivitis. Dr gave me Oval Gelatin Capsules. Instructions: Best case scenario: Cut off small opening at one end and use a Q-Tip to put contents on cats gums twice a day. (I tried…THAT is not going to happen!) Option 2: Squeeze it around his mouth (lips & teeth) where he will get some topically & clean it off his face licking a paw. Because he wants it topically dispensed, I’m having a heck of a time and have not been very successful nor consistent. If only had the benefit of training the steps in your video to provide the familiarity! He is 8 years old; drooling; white fur on chest is “tanning.” I feel so bad for him. The gelatin capsule is thick and small so it is awkward to squeeze while holding the cat. He just goes wild and escapes with paws flying every which way he can! Any ideas??? I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!

I've had to give Clio icky tasting oral medication recently up until a few days ago so when She sees my hand coming for her cheek bones she tries to get away. Any advice? Is there a step before step 1? She's 15 and having dental surgery next week.

Thank you! I'm going to start training my twins :-) When training two cats, would you separate them for the duration of the training session, i.e. train behind closed doors? I feel I would need to do this with my little tigers.
