Welcome back to my apartment in London! This is the long awaited (sorry) part 2 of my flat renovation and transformation of the upstairs area.
In this video I take you through the updates to the upstairs of my flat, I've created a relaxed space where I can read and study, and soon I will have my piano up there too! Having extended the room by adding in a glass floor, I now have more space to work with and wonderful lighting.

I feel like the Philips Hue ambience lighting could be good because it could help set the mood for focusing/relaxing/etc. I think it’d be cool when playing piano too with certain colours of lighting fitting the theme of certain songs 😊

Great use of the space. A few fibre optic long leaf plant like type lighting around the area would look good, with dimmers to serve as 'plants'/lighting, which enables you to adjust light for their positioning.

A couple of things: 1) I love that space so much, it looks so relaxing. Great job! 2) Rolo looks too cute in his jumper 🥰 3) I believe we have the same bean bag! Mine also sits in my chill room, right next to my piano actually. 4) Looking forward to hearing more about your piano journey - I’m also learning but have hit a bit of a wall with it at the moment. 5) How did you resist saying ‘oh big yawn!’ when Rolo yawned?! I can’t help it, same with ‘oh big stretch!’ 😂

What a tranquil space at the top, and lovely how you adapt it for Rolo.. I'd get queasy by the glass floor bit, but as long as its secure haha.. Lovely.

Its a nice transformation.. It wld be so much lights in the summer... U cld add tint the glass, to reduce the summer heats..☺️

You’ve made it lovely! You look fitter & trimmer (unless it’s just the black t-shirt). I’d love to hear absolutely everything about your piano journey. I’m guessing it will be a digital piano? I’m a perpetually struggling novice pianist. Even 4 sharps or flats have me running for the hills (or mountains!). Will you have lessons, work through a course, select an online course?
