I get why Chris would be so adamant about sleep, even hearing Connor's side. Once you hit 30, your body really takes a toll. Also, with Chris' weight gain, it would've been dangerous for his heart to cycle if he doesn't get enough rest. But I'm glad they got through it.

Yea. You absolutely know your limits and have to respect them or you will make dangerous mistakes or get hurt. Conners definitely going to end up with a bad wakeup call when he gets older. He should really listen to Jacksepticeyes experiences and take it to heart and apply it. He has the same level of earnestness and drive in his craft, but eventually he's gonna push himself too hard one day and not realize that's the issue and blame it on KZfaq or streaming, something along those lines.

1:17:19 I've had this issue in the UK as well in the countryside. For some reason Google Maps thinks it's saving you sometime by telling you to turn off a well lit twin Lane carriageway and to barrel down windy country lanes that are barely one and half lanes wide in complete darkness, all to save you I theory 5-minutes. In the end it takes much longer and your nerves are fried

I have never agreed so hard with Connor on some things but when he talks about tech he gets it mostly right. He's so on point about color settings on TVs and how blown out they are by default. Even without using a colorimeter, just adjusting your settings a bit to what the ideal recommendations are (all TVs, even the same panel, are not the same, so you use them as a baseline) makes it so much better. I noticed that a lot of my friends have max contrast and too vivid colors so there are no details in darker colors since the contrast makes it only dark or light, no detail in between. Edit: Everyone that's saying "I can't tell a difference, good enough for me" that's great, you can continue watching media how you want if you're already enjoying it as is. Just because you don't care about the visual quality doesn't invalidate the others that do want a better experience. Just because some are satisfied for 30 FPS doesn't invalidate other gamers preferring 60 or higher FPS.

Idk, man. Whether it be films, TV, or just mobile devices, I never really got to the point where I went "this is unbearable". It might be objectively better than what any default setting there is, but it doesn't mean that people would prefer it immediately over what they already have.

By the looks of it, since Joey references at the start of the video that this episode will come out "after" the tour, they mixed up the order of the recordings probably in light of the recent controversies on the subreddit. As someone who is getting older, getting tired of games, don't watch anime. etc. I found Conner's stream the most interesting and engaging thing I've watched in a very long time, I don't find much of anything exciting in my life anymore these days and I absolutely loved everything about this cyclathon. Although i couldn't watch any of it live on twitch because of real life work and commitments, i still enjoyed watching the VODs and couldn't skip any of it. I watched every single VOD almost entirely. It's also fascinating hearing all the behind the scenes details on how you put this together. Connor and his mods and friends who helped out were all absolute geniuses and I think Connor has set a new standard of IRL streaming when it comes to this type of event. It was just so engaging in every way and like Connor said if networks actually incorporated things like a progress bar, gps tracker, speed tracker, chat, etc far more people would watch things like the Tour De France. I simply would not have been engaged as much as I was if it wasn't for that app, so massive props to the mods for putting that app together, absolutely amazing. This was honestly a highlight of my life watching you guys through these 9 days and also tuning in Pete's stream in the last few days watching both side by side added even more value and fun to the experience. I look forward to any IRL events you do in the future. I'll honestly never forget this experience and again Thank you to Connor and his team for putting this together and convincing Chris to also come along :)

I absolutely love how Connor is right about the trash TV settings by default and how in this case Garnt/Joey are like how Connor is about sound, but about picture lol. Picture matters soooo much. Feel like Connor should set their TVs/Monitors for them to help them see a better option. Also agree about the live show aspects. They are quite fun. It definitely is a community thing. And it is because we are a social species. And sometimes the live aspect of musicals can really make things feel more real cause you're seeing it there even if the set looks "cheaper" than say a big budget production.

I got to study abroad in England for a couple weeks one summer and my group went to see a play at the Globe. Can confirm, it's an amazing experience. We were standing though, which really sucked. But at one point two of the actors passed right in font of me because they were making their way through the crowd toward the stage, and the scene was still going on without them but they were like on a journey to where the action was actually taking place, so that was a really cool experience that made it feel like I was more immersed in what was going on

It's always funny to hear people say things like "Just go to bed earlier!". One does not simply go to bed at 10 pm, if your inner clock is used to going to bed at midnight or later. No matter how much of strenuous, tiring exercise you endured during the day, you will lay in bed exhausted but awake until your appointed, usual sleeping time. And it takes multiple days of terrible sleep and being barely functional for your body to get used to the earlier routine. So I understand why Chris was trying to defend his sleepy time so fervently xD

18:00 Best recommendation should be from your local bike shop. They'll be able to fit you to something matching your price point and goals (and most importantly, fit *you* to the bike). Unless you're planning on buying new bars, fork, or stem, your body geometry will likely mesh much better with some bikes than others. And a good local store should be able to see where your stride should be and fit accordingly.* * Unless you're rich and buy an S-Works or other crazy full-CF bike, in which case they'll have to saw the bike to install your saddle. Lol.

Honestly speaking, when you brought up the topic of sigur ros, I kinda got curious about their songs because i hadn't heard of them before, so I cut off the podcast an went to check them out. The literal first song i listened to, the one that was right in my face as soon as i searched their band name on KZfaq, whose name i couldn't pronounce for the life of me, instantly, made me fall in love. I got hooked and binged them on Spotify. Totally forgot about completing this episode. Came back a few days later to continue watching and finally commenting.

Rakugo is an incredible art. I first got into it with the J-drama Tiger & Dragon. I had the pleasure of learning a bit when an English speaking rakugo performer visited my university campus. I got even more into it with Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu and it's still one of my favorite series. I also had the incredible pleasure of working with Katsura Sunshine who I think is the only non-Japanese professional rakugo performer in Japan.

The word 'envelope' is often used in aeronautics as an enclosing membrane or a limit. E.g., a plane that goes outside of the operating envelope ( Weight, balance, Center of gravity, etc.) will be unstable-and probably uncontrollable in the air. So among pilots and astronauts "outside of the envelope" is perceived as a risky & dangerous situation. The phrase 'Pushing the envelope' came into existence when Tom Wolfe in his book 'The right stuff' mentioned how Chuck Yeager became the first pilot to break the supersonic envelope. The pilot and his mates used the phrase *" Pushing outside of the envelope"* a lot in their conversation, which later mutated to *" pushing the envelope" *. Now the phrase is used metaphorically to exceed physical or mental limits.

The discussion about sleep was rather perfect timing for me as this last week, I've been going to bed at around 1:30AM to 2AM...and that's with needing to work a desk job at 8AM. It's not intentional, but it can be hard to shut my brain down for the day. I do work from home, but I work tech support/customer service, so being alert is necessary. I usually would try to cat nap during lunch, but that was after eating, so maybe 20 or 30 minutes to rest (thankfully, I have an hour lunch. That's sadly been rare in my time of working, most jobs are just 30 minute lunches. I also do not have 15 minute breaks. I mean, my job lets me manage myself, so I could take some...but as the main person handling the calls, I'd pay for that greatly with a slew of callbacks piling up. I have had days where I work beyond 5PM to finish everything, but I don't want to do that with calls as most people call from offices and are gone by then. That means they call back the next day, on top of the new batch of callers, and it creates a pile-up). My amount of sleep usually determines if I call out that day, which does make me feel bad since other people then have to do my job, so I'm trying to go to bed earlier than my current time of midnight. I did that last night and not sure if it was the three bathroom breaks as well, but it still didn't feel quite like enough 😅. Now it's Saturday morning and I'm watching this episode after falling asleep on my couch around 10PM watching Regular Show, waking up at 2AM, going to my bedroom, and watching this instead, lol. I work 7 days a week (I check work emails and sometimes respond to urgent calls. I do not have to do this, but I will suffer for it on Monday if I don't and I just don't want to deal with irate customers first thing on Monday morning so I'm happy I have an opportunity to head that off and make someone happy to enjoy their weekend as well).

Feedback for the Trash Taste crew: Is it possible to give Ashley (or whoever is on the outside) a proper mic to use for interjections? There have been plenty of moments since the beginning where they have interjected with an opinion or fact but the quality of the sound drops because it switches to a lousy mic. It has been quite annoying, for a long time now, to hear a lot of background noise whenever the mic switches to them. A lot of other podcasts have given mics to third party cast who only use it to interject and it should been easy to edit in as well.
