He was already disgraced in the first place and Zenitsu is not even the First Disciple but he's the only won who actual stood on business. He honored his history and took his tittle as well as the Thunder Hashira (Technically speaking since at the end the corp get disbanded but again Zenitsu never got his Mark meaning he lived through the entire Demon Slayer Corp Displacement.
