2 years old, servos are good, lined em up when I bought it. They were out so bad I had to move one of them one whole spline.

Great video! I know this vehicle inside and out. I’ve owned it since early 2018 and bash the living pancakes out of it. It’s my winter beater as well. Paddle tires are a must! You hit it spot on with the must have upgrades.

Hi speed. What I'm trying to figure is.. I have to lift my trucks front end to max so I clear the rocks in WNC. Are there enough aftermarket shocks and springs, can this thing be lifted? Thanks.

hey! just got my revo for christmas. im kinda one of those people who gets carried away while driving, but luckily my diffs havent blown out like these comments say. ive self righted more than 5 times

I had the orig Erevo, put a Novak Sensored motor and esc..was stupid fast, the 1/8 motor was 4200kv, and ran it on 4s..that rig took a beating, paddle tires and sand was fun. I think all I did was put heavy steel Robinson Racing gears/slipper, I don't recall anything out of the ordinary, breakage wise..oh, steering system upgraded.

The vents that sit near the rear you can cut them and run your battery connector through it and keeps the wires inside the battery tray thats how I run mine

I use black zip ties as limiting straps and they work great as well.

E-Revo could use a WD-40 wipe down then sprayed down in some lube.

I wouldn’t try to self right these. Picked mine up about 2 months ago brand new and blew front and rear diff motor and esc using traxxas self righting but got it covered under warranty. Not sure if it’s because it goes full throttle to full reverse or what but it blew my car up 2nd run id say 3rd or 4th time using self right (first couple times I just tried it out thinking it was a good feature). That said it’s back running with the chassis brace and limiting straps like a champion. No breakages yet and I’ve jumped quite a bit and had some naaaasty landings

Thanks for the tip about the "self righting feature!" I don't use mine that much, so I haven't had any problems but it stands to reason you would have mechanical issues going full forward then full reverse. I'll trust your judgement, besides "fetching" RC cars is part of the hobby. LOL

Hi, just wondering what you think so the hpi savage x flux ? I’m thinking about getting one as a basher either that or a traxxas slash ultimate, what do you think would be better ?

I don't have a high savage flux...I do have 2 traxxas slash 4x4 ultimate. They are great. Not so well in grass. But they are pretty tough. In my opinion you can't go wrong with the slash.

I think the tires on the e-revo get better grip, so it does flip a little easier on cornering

Mine can't flip itself over when it's upside down after I did the limiting straps

Mine doesn't work as well as it used to. but, It's really hard on the gears to use that feature anyways.

I personally lean slightly towards the E-Revo 2.0. Regardless of what you decide to buy your not going to be disappointed. It also depends on how hard you drive them, Or more accurately how bad you land when you jump them. I recommend a Chassis brace for both vehicles right out of the box. Don't be disappointed WHEN they break. Just do a little research, before you buy a replacement parts. Upgrade when you can. It won't take long and you'll have the "weak" points taken care of.

@@alanwilliamsbackyardrc5904 thank you. The part that disappoints with the revo is the battery limitations. Kinda bummed me but I hear traxxas is cheaper to replace the parts compared to arrma. They get ya either way. Thanks for the quick response and great video.

I’m trying to decide between a erevo 2.0, maxx, or the xmaxx I want the best fun factor and the most durable !!

the E revo2.0 is defiantly a blast, I don't own a maxx or X maxx. but from what videos I've seen, they seam more durable. Especially if your doing extreme bashing.

@@derekquinones8614 either way you go you will be happy...I just favor the Maxx over the xmaxx. The xmaxx can be pricey if you want it to be extremely durable. Upwards of 13..to..14 hundred dollars. While the Maxx to get it extremely durable...you looking at an ending cost of about 800. But what the hell...you will enjoy the experience... until it's time to sell it... remember you never get back what you put in. Just my thoughts...but like I said you can't go wrong with either.

guys Hi ... i need your help - i have Erevo 2.0 that's dose not drive reverse, don't go self righting, LEDs on the EAC lights only on startup then they all off . tried to switch modes, reset transmitter ,tried others battery's any idea will do --- thank you for any suggestion or thought .

honestly I would try calling Traxxas support. I've talked to those people a few times and they are always helpful

I replaced the servos in my original E-REVO with a single one, dual servos are just too much trouble IMHO.

I honestly don't know, the E revo is good, especially especially after you add the chassis brace and limiting straps. Mostly when I break mine, it's because I have a bad landing. Which is why I try to share it on video if I can.

I feel you cant go wrong for either I would say arrma is high powered bigger rcs while traxxas gives a broader range of models.

yes, also when I installed the aluminum brace. I used longer screws and just put it on top of the plastic one, for more support.

@lervis696969 I checked into and I've decided to go with EC-5 and IC5 connectors. nothing wrong with xt90's. I just think these will work out better for me.

I agree totally, especially at the amount of money these things cost. But we do drive it pretty hard.

The thing about it is, when you drive it like you stole it, things will break no matter the brand. So all brands will need upgrading from factory parts when you bash the shit out of them.

Unless you’re only keeping it on the ground and driving conservatively you’re going to need to spend money on upgrades with everything. I own several traxxis, several armas and a couple losis and EVERYTHING has upgraded parts on it but then again I beat the hell out of my RC’s

Honestly the only thing you should worry about is the restraining strap. If you are getting a revo or your revo is only a year old or so, the servo problem is irrelevant because traxxas corrected them. I haven't had any failures (yet) so if you haven't gotten a revo just buy the restraining straps imo.

@Paul Tyll true, dont waste $650 on a poorly built car, spend it on an arrma kraton instead. it's better, plus you save $50 if you do. it's a no brainer

it's actually discouraging that traxxas has such flaws that you're mentioning in such an expensive RC car. It's almost as if it came from the drawing board to mass production nobody put it through the paces. Just get the big bucks and sell parts. I'm just saying there's no way the flaws you're talking about should be in a car this expensive if they would've tested it properly. Just saying you know now we all know

Mine is absolute junk every time I drive this car a little teeny pebble gets in where the drive shaft is or where the gears are and completely ruins the car like literally every time I drive it a little teeny rock breaks this car this thing is absolute garbage
