That is the way I am now. When I did the first video, I was not that familiar with them. I could take them apart and work on them, but if I didn't have to, I didn't. And in that first series, I looked at what was inside, it all looked (and was) good so I just skimmed over it. But email after email, post after post, I figured I needed to do an in depth series on this transmission for those just learning. So there are 3 of them in total. This one and two more. I'm hoping they answer all questions that people may have in the future that want to learn about them. And it is awesome that you used my first videos to get your truck going. Sounds like the grub screw was either screwed in too far or it had the wrong spring in it. My money is it was just tightened down too tight. Hope you got it fixed though!

Nitro fuel for these Rc cars and trucks is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs water. So over time it will loose it's power. But, if you can seal it really well, it should last quite a while. Which is a good thing since nitro fuel has went up in price thanks to the trade crap that we are dealing with with China. I was quoted $50 a gallon or more for nitro fuel by the gallon at the LHS when I was there this weekend. I told them I would pass.
