Some call this photorealism, but actually it's just really good painting. Some say you paint every leaf, but actually it's maybe 1 in a thousand, but you do suggest that you paint them all. This is a true demonstration of how to paint trees.

Essentially, you're individually painting almost every leaf on those trees! Your talent and attention to detail is truly next level impressive. I used to love doing this stuff, but I just couldn't find a way to earn a living at it.

well.. there are apps that will create short cuts. but people buy paintings because they're individually painstakingly made by hand.

Beautiful work as always. JMS is one of a handful of artists I can tolerate listening to and so far, the only one who mesmerizes me as he works. He has nearly convinced me to try oils, but only after I finish playing with what I already have. His education translates across mediums.

Damn..., I need to practice more. Start small areas first I think then fill them in. Watching this one hundred times in slow motion will help as well, lol. Beautifully painted Michael. 🎨👍

@@user-su1et7dn3v , Майклу просто интересно спорить с фотоаппаратом. Я сам такой ) Для меня намного приятнее именно такая картина, реалистичная, чем какая-то, простите, мазня, выдаваемая иным "художником" за картину, с неизменными словами: я так вижу ))

@@video-viewpoint А Вы подумайте как музыканты что то изображают в своих произведениях. Ведь что бы изобразить надвигающего войска врага ; Александр Невский ; можно просто взять микрофон и записать этот звук , а не слушать какую нибудь мазню!

@@user-su1et7dn3v , неудачное сравнение. Вставка в музыкальное произведение чужого звука - это плагиат. Майкл же рисует своё, именно своё ви́дение природы. Он же не рисует чужие работы фотохудожников 🤷‍♂️ Майкл сам любит фотографировать )

I thoroughly enjoy these time lapse studies you share with us. I had to stop painting a while back, because I am running out of places to put my terrible paintings. But I enjoy socking away knowledge that I will hopefully be able to put to use someday. (It was such a boon to see your middle tone values first approach, it helped my own technique tremendously.) Cheers!
