Hello. At part 3:39 it said “the truer the lie is, the deeper parents love” What does that mean?
@kagenou6833 Жыл бұрын
@@TheAdventurerAndDiscoverer based on my own interpretation it means the harder to spot the lie the deeper you trust the liar. More trust means the love is stronger. It can also mean that the lie is meaningful and not just outright harmful or for no reason, whitelie if you will. In this case, based on how the lie is done you can tell how much your parents love you :)
@yongshuchen7866 Жыл бұрын
@@TheAdventurerAndDiscoverer Well-intentioned deceptions are meant to keep children from worrying about them. The more truthful the lie, the more it shows how much parents want their children to pursue their lives with confidence, and they don't want to be a burden to their children, either psychologically or in life!

I usually don’t cry at a lot of these experiments and usually feel more empathy. But this one really hit home. My parents sacrificed buying their own home in order to give me a great opportunity for an education while living in the hood. I never knew about the money struggles until I was 5 or 6. After learning about these things, I had to grow up at an early age by understanding what we could and couldn’t afford. When my parents finally bought their own home when I was 25, I cried thinking of their biggest accomplishment. Then they cried when I bought mine with my husband before I was 30. I told them “my success is your success because I would have nothing without you”. Now I try to give everything I can to my parents whenever I see them.

My parents are like this too, they only share their struggles in hindsight when hard times ate over.. It goes the other way around too. I've seen many exchange students pretend they have a good time, good food, a good job and many friends, but in reality struggle in every aspect. My heart goes out to everyone who's taking care of their closest people in their own way, but remember that family is there to help you if you cannot keep it up. It's better to tell the truth then letting them feel guilty when it's too late

He acted so naturally. I couldn't hold back my tears when the wise girl started crying. She was really feeling for him. These kind of videos projects that there is still humanity present in this world. There are more good people than bad in my opinion. But we focus on more negative things in life.

When that lady started crying my tears automatically came my daughter keeps wiping it away.. This is so sad even if it’s just an experiment but those people who bought the uncle a meal God bless them. I’ve seen some similar videos done in America but the people would swear at the guy or throw food on him and say such horrible things, It’s good to see we still have people out there with good hearts

I lived in northern China (about seven years ago). There’s one memory that I wish I could forget. It was a freezing night and this elderly man was standing outside the restaurant my friends and I were eating at. He was struggling to open the door by himself and everyone just watched him as he stood there trying to get inside. It was snowy, windy, and he didn’t look well. Eventually a waitress came and yelled at him to go away, and he sadly shuffled away barely able to walk. No one did anything, and as a foreigner who knew almost no Mandarin and was still new to the country, neither did I. I regret not standing up for him.

I’ve seen so many Chinese parents doing this when I was in China, I remember once I went to Macdonald’s to have my lunch and there I saw a family of 3, the mother, father and their young daughter. By looking at them I could see that they couldn’t afford to eat in Macdonald’s but still they bought their daughter burger, coke, fries and ice cream. And they were just looking at her while she was enjoying her meal. I was so touched by that incident and I immediately called my mom. That reminded me that how much our parents sacrifice for us and we don’t even thank them enough 🥺 This video literally made me cry. I miss living in China, I really hope I’ll get a chance to go back in near future :(

Not trying to be a regionalist or hateful, but some western people especially thier media's really misleads the image of Chinese people globally, by branding them as bieng rude, uncivilized, lack of empathy etc, which is quite opposite in reality. @@yougotnojam9588 Well, I'm sorry to say that being a westerner in China, which is where I live, I can't find someone to defend me when they CONSTANTLY sneak in front of me in any row while saying "do you have a problem?" accompanied by some insult. I understand that not all are like, but those who are not like, that don't care either. You can't ask the police for help either, it's always your fault ... a friend's purse was stolen and the police told her that: "you happened to be a whore, get out if you don't like it." Also keep in mind that these videos are edited, they show those that help but NOT those that do not help, which are many more.
