You're gonna love Elvis's music & performances. This humble man grew up poor in Memphis, his dad went to prison for writing bad checks to feed his family. Elvis didn't see color, this soulful man could sing gospel, rock, rockabilly, ballads, anthems, dance tunes, country, pop, you name it, he could sing. Listen to " In the Ghetto" and "If I could Dream" this one is a tribute to Martin Luther King, Elvis was gutted when Martin was murdered. So happy you are discovering this beautiful, genuine man. He's a true gift from God.

You ain’t seen nothing yet. Elvis was called the KING for a reason. No one had ever seen anything like him. This is the beginning. Keep Going. Love the Vegas years. Suspicious minds, Polk salad Annie, patch it up, bridge over troubled water. It’s nearly endless. Some of the dance clips from his movies are awesome. Have fun

It's from the movie Jailhouse Rock. (So you can actually watch this scene in HD quality.) This is a music video he made in the movie, so that people would see convicts and ex-convicts as human beings. It was a 'fun' song just to make it easy for other folks to swallow that bitter reality. In the movie, he beat up a guy who was abusing a woman at a bar, he got thrown in jail for 6 months, jail turned him into a cruel person (he was sweet when he first got to jail), and then a life-changing event makes him a good person again. He definitely didn't rock out during the part where he was actually in jail. He was mostly just crying.

What a lot forget is that Elvis is the one who broke in the television audience with the hips shaking. His first appearance they wouldn't do a full view because of his hips shaking. It was the Ed Sullivan Show.

SWAG wasnt a word back then but Elvis had it in truckloads. Charisma and vocal and dance nuances you just cant teach. You either have it or you dont and he was one of the first total packages. MJ was definitely influenced in many ways, anyone who liked both entertainers could see it. great reaction - subbed!

I'm glad your first Elvis reaction was Jailhouse Rock because it means you started at the beginning of his international fame. This iconic number was from his 1957 movie of the same name and it is truly timeless. Check out any of his TV performances from 1956 and if you want to dig further into his films, my suggestions would be Mean Woman Blues from Loving You or, from his best movie King Creole, Crawfish and New Orleans. I really enjoyed your reaction. It was fun and you put a smile on my face.

Always cool to see reactions from the younger generation. So many people miss out on the early stuff when there was no auto tune and such. It was just the entertainer and the music. If you want to experience his vocal ranges, I would suggest "What Now My Love" from the 1973 Aloha Special, "unchained Melody" 1977 and "Hurt" also from 1977. Great reaction vid. Thanks!

All Elvis' moves too. The Hollywood types had this scene choreographed but Elvis didn't like their moves. They asked him to just move the way he would move and they had the other dancers move around him. I'm recommending Treat Me Nice, the black and white version. It's from the same movie but it looks ten times better. And the song rocks too.

Elvis was born 1-8-1935 .... Still to be proven his death date .... Truth is not always in a few words .... But .... truth always needs to be told and found out in time .... How much time .... Till the truth is known .... That is how much time .... one minute or generations later .... Some day the truth will come out .... If you want to read this Great .... If you don't .... Don't .... It is your choice .... So here we go .... Are we sure it happened that way .... Or that it happened at all .... Was it a cover up ... But to what .... I don't Know nor do you or anyone .... But for their eyes only that really know .... This is long but worth it .... So I ask .... Can anything we have heard be the truth .... OR .... Are they a cover story .... { Miss-directors} .... So we look the other way .... So Elvis could walk away as it were to stop being some one he does not want to be anymore .... Elvis said this at his last show ....Things like {And I did .... Or .... And I was } .... In his own words he wanted to become the FBI Agent he al-ways wanted to be .... You decide .... YOU DON'T KNOW .... You don't know .... IF HE DIED .... OR .... IF HE DID .... HOW .... Or that he didn't die .... Nor do I .... Nor does ANYONE else in the world .... But the ones that are part of the real { Truth } .... What ever that really is .... People are just spreading the stuff on the net .... They heard and/or want to believe is true .... I understand But you still nor does anyone know for sure what happen .... The links are here use them .... Don't just take the word of people to cover-up or not the real story .... His friends could be saying their story's as there is many ....To throw people off .... To protect him Others for money to tell what they get paid for saying ... Doctor can be paid off to .... So who really knows Did he walked away .... Did he go in the Witness Protection Program .... That's right .... You read that right Why would he do that .... Some thing happened that he wanted or had to leave the public behind .... Was it due to the FBI story's .... That once he and the ones he is protecting by faking his death .... { If indeed that is t he Truth } is gone the truth will be told .... In-fact a reporter asked him about himself ....Elvis said { It's hard to live up to a Image } .... Elvis wanted to be an FBI agent .... Narcotics Division .... And in-fact and did so become one .... Elvis - Dead or Alive? - Part 1 - Bill Bixby investigates .... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/grupeq2ZvsW8fnk.html ... { So It's hard to believe that someone had that kind of air in his lungs to sing like that had heart trouble } .... And just because you here him breathing hard and sounding like he was tired he might have been .... Who knows he could be just plain tired from the night before .... So rather it was that he died at all or not .... Rather he had a heart attack or not .... Rather he died from bone cancer as Charlie Hodge says in this video ..... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e96mh7iKp6_FoJc.html .... There is a cover up of some kind as the Elvis file can not be opened till 2027 ..... His father closed it till then ..... WHY .... Who knows they could prolong that to if they need to .... WHY ..... Cause ..... Something is being hidden .... And none of us know why .... We can .... Guess .... Give opinions ... Spread rumors ..... Run around giving gossip to one another if you want .... But the picture of him in his coffin is of a young Elvis .... And not put together right in the first place as one of his cousin Gene Smith claims and go's on to explain in this video ..... "It was NOT Elvis in the coffin!" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hpudibmS1dOniX0.html .... I've seen the picture and he is right some thing is wrong ..... And you and I and the rest of the world will never know .... Until those files are opened for the public to see the truth .... Until then .... We will only hear Guesses .... Opinions .... Story's .... Rumors .... And Gossip .... Elvis still lives with us in records or tapes .... Movies and C.D's ..... And now reaction video's on you-tube .... In a way .... Elvis will always be with us .... We just don't know the real reason he left the public behind .... So Is any of these video's true ..... or did he die on the floor .... I don't know .... And neither do you .....Till the truth in those files comes out ..... All we will ever see is .... Guesses ..... Opinions ....Story's .... Rumors .... And Gossip being spread .... BIG N ..... The report on the complete facts of the SONG "IF I CAN DREAM" Elvis Presley The King Elvis Presley Home Elvis Home › Graceland › Elvis News › Elvis Biography › Elvis Interviews › Sitemap › The assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Memphis .... As well as that of U.S. Senator Robert Kennedy .... Affected Elvis Presley deeply .... These feelings led Elvis to give one of the most passionate performances of his career .... America was in the midst of an upheaval in 1968 .... The Civil Rights movement was in full swing and our world and culture were changing.... Within a short span of time .... Two leaders were assassinated .... Dr. King was assassinated April 4, 1968 .... In Memphis - Elvis's hometown .... Robert Kennedy .... Assassinated in Los Angeles .... June 6,1968 .... A US Senator who strongly supported human rights and social justice .... Was killed two months later .... On June 6.... It was Elvis's reaction to the news of both King and Kennedy's assassination that lead to the creation of the song 'If I Can Dream' .... A tribute song to King .... The Kennedy's {John and Bobby } .... And the fallen soldiers in Vietnam .... Featuring direct quotes from the Civil Rights leader.... In the spring of '68 .... Elvis was working on his upcoming TV special .... 'Elvis'.... After seeing the news about Kennedy's death on TV .... Elvis spent an entire night with the show's director .... Steve Binder and his friends .... Talking about the assassinations and Elvis's wishes for the world ....The conversation was heartfelt and honest.... And Binder believed Elvis had an important message for the country .... Binder then went to the show's Musical Director Billy Goldenberg and songwriter Earl Brown and told them about the discussion .... He wanted a Powerful ....Meaningful song that would close out the TV special .... Because the special was slated to air in December .... The producers and Elvis's manager .... Col. Tom Parker .... Had planned to end the show with a Christmas song .... Binder had other ideas .... It wasn't long before 'If I Can Dream was born..... Once the song was finished ... Binder took the song to Elvis and played it for him.... 'Let me hear it again', said Elvis .... The song was played again and again..... 'Okay', Elvis said .... 'I'll do it'.... On June 23, 1968 .... Elvis recorded 'If I Can Dream in several impassioned takes .... Eeven though it is said that the first take Elvis gave was perfect.... The king gave such a powerful performance that some band members were so blown away by Elvis's performance that they had to do several retakes .... It was after the band and backup singers were sent home that Elvis gave an even more astonishing performance as he re-recorded the vocals .... Elvis had the lights turned off and gave himself over to the music .... Over the next few takes .... He fell to his knees on the concrete floor .... Giving himself completely to the song .... After those takes .... Elvis went to the control room and had his chosen take played repeatedly before he gave it his blessing .... Elvis was so moved by the song and his experience with it that he told Binder .... I'll never sing another song I don't believe in .... I'm never going to make another movie I don't believe in' .... As Elvis was getting ready for the filming of the song .... Apparently designer .... Bill Belew who created the wardrobe for the ELVIS special .... He has had Elvis wearing neckerchiefs with some of his outfits .... He felt the song If I Can Dream was very moving .... And spoke to that generation about the difficult times they had been through during the sixties.... For this song .... Bill told Elvis he thought the white suit he had made would be more appropriate than the black leathers Elvis would wear for much of the concert ... When Elvis tried it on .... Bill felt there was something missing .... And realized it needed a neckerchief .... That evening Bill heard Walter Cronkite on the evening news speaking about all the soldiers that had died that week in the Vietnam War ..... The next day Bill found a dark red neckerchief for Elvis to wear with the white suit.... Bill explained to Elvis about the news he had watched .... And how many soldiers had died .... And that this neckerchief would represent the blood of all these soldiers that had lost their lives in Vietnam.... Both Bill and Elvis found this to be a very emotional subject .... And didn’t want to discuss it with anyone else .... If I Can Dream was an appropriate song for the finale of the show .... As it was Elvis’ appeal for peace and understanding. Elvis asked me to include the story of If I Can Dream .... His message was .... “It is important to remember those that sacrificed their lives at that time ..... Forty years have passed since the Vietnam War ended .... But If I Can Dream is still my hope for the world today' .... As Per ....www.elvisinfonet.com/book-redbowtie.html Elvis wore the red scarf as a symbol of their sacrifice 'If I Can Dream was featured at the end of Elvis's Singer Special (later known as the '68 Special) on December 3, 1968.... This was the first time the public heard the song .... And it was later released as a single with 'Edge of Reality (recorded for the film 'Live a Little, Love a Little') as its flip-side in November 1968 ..... The single spent 13 weeks on the U.S. pop chart peaking at #12. In the U.K., it was on the chart for 10 weeks, peaking at #11. It is now a Gold Record single. Elvis Presley Lyrics Words & Music by W. Earl Brown Elvis Presley Lyrics There must be lights burning brighter somewhere Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue If I can dream of a better land Where all my brothers walk hand in hand Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true There must be peace and understanding sometime Strong winds of promise that will blow away All the doubt and fear If I can dream of a warmer sun Where hope keeps shining on everyone Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear We're lost in a cloud With too much rain We're trapped in a world That's troubled with pain But as long as a man Has the strength to dream He can redeem his soul and fly Deep in my heart there's a trembling question Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle And while I can think, while I can talk While I can stand, while I can walk While I can dream, please let my dream Come true, right now Let it come true right now Oh yeah Recorded: 1968/06/23, first released on single.... And that is now history forever ....
