This video is great. Thank you. I'm about to tackle converting mine with a kit from Speedway. Did you find another video detailing the whole process? It's my first time tackling a complete brake system change so I'm a bit nervous going into it. I have a 57 Bel Air with factory treadle-vac power brakes and 4 drums. New kit came with master cylinder, booster, front disc, rear drum setup.

After installation of my disc brake kit I realized I would not recommend the disc brake kits where the calipers mount in front of the spindle. If you are currently running a sway bar, I have concern that the front spindle Mount calipers would hit the sway bar during hard turns.

How did the Tubular A-arms workout with the Epoxy?

Great. So far with 27,000 miles since installing them I've seen no signs of movement. Btw I used polyurethane "gorilla glue". Not epoxy. I liked that it expanded when curing. So to help insure a tight hold.

Hmm looked at the picture of the brackets in the kit, don't look the same?

this kit does come with 5x 4 1/2" bolt pattern right " like the original "" ?

Not mine... mine was 4.75 bolt pattern... as was the stock application

Would be better to use 61-68 Impala hubs , 79 Trans am rear rotors,d-52 calipers. And the d-52 brackets for sale from the guy in CA. Zero offset. Your kit moves the wheels out 7/8 on each side.

Will that work with 14” rims though??

The speedway kit, as with most others, will not clear 14inch wheels@@Cjmm007

Kits are junk change the spindle upgrade your brakes never down grade with kits

Your opinion doesn't make it fact. I've had NO issues from my "kit"... and I'd buy one again and again! Btw...how do you see this "kit" as a "down grade"????
