Live in Texas as a kid and was never Introduced to them until 2015-2016 when I worked at Exxon Baytown when I was 26-27 years old. Life changed! Then Barbacoa, then lengua, menudo, tres Leche among tons of other authentic Mexican tacos and food and desserts! But hats off making your own! I tried once and after boiling off fat the3 lbs shrunk down enough to fry one taco worth of “tripas” hahahaha

Hey bro, these are absolutely delicious. I cook about 6-8 pounds in the Instant Pot for about 20 minutes then finish them off in a large frying pan on the stove. Best burritos ever

My father was part South American, he spent his whole life on the railway, my mother and I took care of our farm....when my father cleaned a animal nothing was waisted....I ate this every Saturday....there was NO left overs....Seso tacos is another favorite....my mother is 100 polish, and to this day we still eat it the polish way.

Best way to cook tripas is boil with salt onion and garlic until tender enough to push a fork through easily. Drain and fry in pork fat until desired crispness. Be sure to drain before frying in a seperate pan the taste will impress you for sure

By the way, use a corn tortilla and prepare with Lemon juice, tomatillo salsa with White onion and cilantro Mixed in and a little bit of cabbage!The flavor is so much better out of a corn tortilla!

Wow, that was 2019...that same package of 3 lbs of tripas costs $7.50 a pack instead of $4.50 at H.E.B.. Heck, beef tongue or lengua is $11.50 per pound! I used to get them for only 12 bucks a large one. Even menudo is sky high now. Barbacoa is $12 a pound cooked! Btw. i like to chop the tripas into half inch pieces once they finish boiling then let them fry in their own grease. Great job amigo!

5 pounds..I'll eat 10 to 15 lbs all by myself in two days. If going thru all that trouble of cleaning and cooking them for hrs I want to get my moneys worth. Also when it has been foaming awhile, I'll take it out of the aluminium pan i use and put it on the grill grates to finish it off.

I usually clean mine twice and on the second wash I soak them in water with like 1 cup of Vinegar to remove any type of smell. Then I boil them, Drain The Water. Then Cut & fry them in light oil. 45 minutes tops. 3 hours is too long my guy ✌️✌️

Hello Robert. This Mexican does!! 😎 Actually someone stole my disco I few days before this video😡 So as a real Mexican would do. I found something else I had to make them. My Abuelo in Sonora always made them this way.

Hi RIC how are you? Me... patiently waiting for you to upload a video. Oh I found out I can eat seafood and fish. My mother in law had a bbq and they made seafood and stuff on the grill. Any I love seafood and fish. So I gave in and it didn't bother me.
