Hating characters who play bad roles shows the character's professionalism, I apologize for hating you because it was your fault and you performed your role perfectly, but I don't hate you in the real world :)
@TristanSpohnAKASpiderman2 ай бұрын
Don’t apologize in many ways that’s the point of his character. My job as the actor is to find the empathy to honor the character without judgement so I create something so believable you’re able to feel such strong emotion towards, whether it’s positive or negative.

4:04 this is literally one of the best ideas that I’ve heard, I don’t even think I’ve seen another actor recommend this kind of technique!
@TristanSpohnAKASpiderman2 ай бұрын
It’s absolutely a game changer for me. I started doing it after I realized how many breakthroughs I had about myself while journaling. Which made me excited for the potential breakthroughs I could have with my characters. And it’s so cool because I would start with an idea of what I was journaling about before entering this flow state where all this completely fresh and new perspective started coming up. And it would really feel like I was channeling the characters voice instead of my own.

That's acting at a whole extra level and sounds like such a great idea. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and helping us understand how you did each scene, I've learned a lot from you. I wish more actors did this. I thought your performance was awesome, it's striking to see how nice you seem in real life compared to the bully you portrayed, but then I found out that a lot of actors that played villains end up being one of the nicest people on set. Looking forward to seeing you in more projects, and wish you so much success in your career.

I love your descriptions and you've gained a loyal subscriber. I always feel weird describing myself as a vessel for characters because they look at me weird about 50% of the time and the only the other 50% do they get it, so it's really nice to see someone who views it similarly. It was really nice to find that kinship. I've even myself used the term, even with antagonists, of "falling in love with my character". You're awesome!
