Also, are reviews paid? You will get the answer to that as well in this video. Journalism means telling the truth, no matter how bitter it is for the fanboys or how hard it is for a journalist to tell. It HAS to be told. This video will also tell you how auto reviews function and how media rides are organised. That in turn will put you in a position where you'll be able to call out the bluff in the majority of auto reviews. The idea is to make YOU, the viewer, the buyer of the vehicle, aware of what goes behind the scenes. The idea is to improve the quality of Indian auto journalism.

Was disheartened by Shumi’s comments, lowered my expectations, took a test ride and came home unimpressed (how on earth can I get impressed by a 1Km test ride during peak hour on a traffic choked road in Bengaluru ?).. Still the prospect of owning a cute little Triumph at an accessible price surpassed my not-so-impressive test ride experience, so went ahead and made the payment. Got the delivery last week and did a 150 Km highway ride and quite a few ‘chore rides’ in the city.. My one sentence verdict is “It has beaten by expectations !” Smooth engine, Adequate power, tractability, linear power delivery, agility etc.. have made me fall in love with the bike ! Every time I look at it, there’s an urge to hop on and get going ! (Yes it’s not a 100% perfect machine. For eg.,I find its gearshifts a little harder than my anticipation) This is coming from someone who has been riding a Kawasaki Vulcan S for the last 5 years..

The problem with Deno sir is he praises almost every bike. Listening to his review on avenger 220 I bought one. Now I I understand he mentioned no negative in this bike. So influencer youtubers are not reliable. More over you may be right because I respect you, but almost in all cases I found Shumi is right. I have noticed that one should have handsome stock of word, good knowledge in English, sense of humour and lot of patience to understand his reviews.

I never said that Dino is a great Reviewer. He isn't. I just said if you are in touch with him or any other such influencer you may cross check whether Shumi was present at the launch or not. Secondly, you are wrong about Shumi. He reviews for himself, and not for the end user. That is why the majority of users of the Dominar, CB350, etc. do NOT agree with him. Thirdly, a reviewer is supposed to use as simple words as possible; that's how communication works. The other person should be able to understand you. Lastly, you need to watch my Noobs of Auto Journalism video to understand the lack of expertise of these folks. 😊

Both look awesome and riding quality is superb. Just go and test ride and you will see how sumi is misguiding people. Triumph changed the indian market. Just feel both bikes and u will get it yourself. I have just subscribed this person because he is a very good reviewer. I've seen ktm bikes , how ugly ktm bikes are. Plastic everywhere. Yeah for few seconds anyone may hit top speed but not always. In general everyone gonna ride it upto 100. So relax and get a triunph if your budget is upto 3 lakh. Don't purchase ktm duke 390. I saw Motorinc’s review and was taken aback by what they had to say about the Speed 400 (had already booked it in July) as compared to what others said, I had a question to ask “ whether it made sense upgrading to the Speed 400 from my Thunderbird 500 “ I did not bring it up but went and took 2 back to back test rides for myself…came back with a big smile and the answer to my question 😊

So you behave like an imbecile with Shumi's balls in your.mouth and expect me to be civil in my reply to you? I won't. You also failed to see that had shumi not tried to "balance" his video by including the positive points, he would have been torn apart by the public? Like he was when he adjudged the Classic Reborn as the best retro in his Powerdrift comparison video? You and his other fanboys have failed to notice a simple thing: he has carefully cherrypicked the absolute positives that even a layman would notice, but has gone negative on other positives as well which might not be noticed by all (being too revvy as a retro, for example). No worries, I am not here to convince you. You may feel free to continue licking their feet. I will continue calling him and others out in the interest of auto journalism. You don't care about it, but I do. I think what revs too quickly for a genuine retro means that, it has power not grunt and retro bikes are famous for grunt like gt650 it doesn't rev too quick. Let me know your thoughts!!
@RealAutoReviews
@RealAutoReviews 9 ай бұрын
No. The GT also needs to be revved for performance. It's a short-stroke motor unlike the long stroke motors of the period bikes. Nevertheless, that's not the point. The point is that a retro does NOT have to be a slow revving motorcycle. There were more quick revving monsters back in the day than the slow revving thumpers. More importantly, Triumph themselves call their retros as Modern Classics, which means that although the bike may look retro, it will have a thoroughly modern engine, gearbox, chassis, and other cycle parts. Hope this clears your confusion. 😊

Shirazbhai, thanks from providing the behind the scenes from these media events. I was wondering about the reason for the discrepancy between some reviews like yours, Sergeant Sagars compared to MotorInc etc. Personal events that happen in peoples' individual lives do seem to have a lasting impact in other spheres of life as well. A safety consious customer might just go ahead and purchase an objectively unsafe Maruti Suzuki because of how well the customer treatment is at NEXA outlets, and vice versa. As an automotive journalists, y'all need to constantly purge these biases before drafting and publishing your reviews. Seems like some are more successful than others in doing so. Moreover Shirazbhai, really interested to hear your thoughts regarding the recently launched Bullet 350, the predecessor of which has been slyly featured in this video. Damn dude , thanks for opening my eyes 😅🙌. I really used to think that Batman and Robin are honest reviewers but nope they aren't. Infact even i used to think why they don't have any videos of them riding the bike and giving the review POV style which Sarge(sagar sheldekar) has done so many times , but now i get it 😂. They really hate some bikes for eg Bajaj Dominar 400 - he just hates on it saying it has too many vibes and all but i personally think that it is a naked sports cruiser only meant for people who want to go touring , heavy for city use and it should have been the real calm alternative to Duke 390 which speed 400 is now. CB350- Shumi hates on it and says its not like what Honda is supposed to be ,Truth is most people just hate on CB350 because its got tall gear ratios for touring but the plus point to tall gear ratios and producing more torque than power is that even a beginner won't stall the bike so often as he does on a short geared commuter bike. So its good we only need to know when to shift and when not to shift . Its all about getting used to the bike and how it should be ridden.I say it from a personal experience of riding a Himalayan 411 after learning to ride on a Bajaj Boxer 100cc 😅. Speed 400- Shumi hates on it because of the obvious reason which you mentioned and the fact that he's someone who rides a 1st gen 390 duke even today . He says its like a Gixxer 250 which is not even too fast or too slow." Welll people actually wanted a calmer alternative to Duke 390 which Dominar 400 failed to be in all these years." When i told him this in comments section, he agreed to my point because i had also told him that not everyone wants a madhouse freaking bike ready to race , some people just want a bike that is calmer than Duke and faster than D400. But if i knew the truth about him i would have blasted him on his bullshit for sure. Anyway I have seen these Auto journalists who like to ride big fast bikes and own something like Duke 390 or Aprilia Tuono (shumi owns it) they just dont respect other bikes and their performance if its not exciting them. And boy o boy if they are salty with a brand they just trash them really hard and indulge in these dishonest philosophical reviews 😅. The 1st time i encountered a dishonest youtuber was Dino's vault - he just used to get to ride bikes from dealerships or maybe manufacturers started providing him with bikes later on . But i remember he always used to get the bike review before everyone else among youtubers 😂and he always used to talk good things only about the bike , like flattering and buttering up was the prime objective. Hence I unsubscribed his channel many years back but i guess he changed his sryle later on or maybe not. What do you think about Sarge and Bulu biker ? Are they as honest as they seem to be ? Because I believe they are among honest few reviewer/KZfaqrs/Auto journalists we have today. BTW I am unsubscribing Batman and Robin now at this very instant because I used to think they are not as biased as Powerdrift but turns out they are even worse .

Do one thing, go to the most experienced mechanic in your area, show him the video from 7:20 to 7:31 (just eleven seconds) and translate it for him. He will tell you where he made a blunder. He will also tell you that if someone makes that type of blunder, he has zero technical knowledge of motorcycles. And as far as his experience is concerned, I would know it better than everyone else. He used to ride with my juniors before he got into Powerdrift. Yes, he is much younger to me. Anyway, you need to learn about motorcycles by READING research papers on technical stuff. That's how you increase your knowledge. Not by watching knee-down cinematics and taking every word they say in those videos 🤦

When i first watched the review video, it was a little different than all the other videos. I mostly attributed the opinion to journos being exposed to many more bikes and perhaps can get off put by a good city allrounder with a good performance. There are pros and cons to the exposure that the auto journos usually get and could have developed their taste for certain kinds of bike & from time to time it shows. Though it is true that there are other things esp. like the one that you said on this video which play a major role in review, it might make sense to take reviews with a pinch of salt and to test ride with an open mind. Personally, I booked the bike immediately after test riding it & as someone riding a bike after 10 years(ex RX), it just felt right & got me exited. Thanks for talking about the background on this and in many ways explains their review.

Reminds me of that time when shumi roasted, not criticized, literally roasted TVS Ronin in his review video and in his shorts videos, even people in the comment section of those videos were pointing out and can see the literal hate for Ronin or maybe for TVS. I have seen other reviewers who reviewed the bike but they gave genuine criticism which TVS can take to improve the bike in future updates, I also own a Ronin and it's a really nice bike and live up to its hastag unscripted, still I'll say that they can improve the bike a little bit more in future or can bring a new model of Ronin just like TVS did with rr310 by launching RTR 310, I was blown away seeing this much BS criticism, hatred whatever you want to say done by shumi on Ronin. You have took a really great step Shiraz sir, talking about or raising voice against these types of reviews, reviewers and such, because these things needs to be addressed quickly or it'll ruin the motovlogging, auto journalism and even automobile industry. Reviews done like by reviewers like shumi can hamper the reputation of a really nice product and even the company who made the product and can also mislead customers who may miss the chance to have a really nice product in their hands. Customer need genuine unbiased reviews, not biased reviews driven by emotions, personal beliefs, money etc

I have seen almost all reviews at least twice, including Motorinc's reviews. As you rightly pointed, a reviewer must talk about the bike and not what he wants it to be. I got the delivery a couple of weeks ago. The bike is the best in class, be it on heavy traffic (you can literally flick it like a Pulsar 150) or on a highway cruising effortlessly at 90kmph (not revving hard because of break-in requirements). Overall all my friends who own and ride the 650 twins, 500 standard, Jawas, and Yezdis were impressed with the bike's performance and handling. I waited for 2 years for a well-built and reasonably good looking bike at this price point. I have also ridden all these bikes and think this is the best bike available in the market and it probably will be for a few more years. Please ignore real-world reviews by the new experts who try to gain popularity with this new bike. CB 350 made a madman famous and he completely flipped once RE threw money at him.

Yeah these newly cropped experts are complaining about the discoloration of exhaust pipe which is expected of stainless steel when exposed to heat and complaining about the bike not starting because of low fuel. I think the showroom people must reiterate that you should maintain a few liters for the fuel pump to function properly.

I follow both of you guys. Both of you are good in your own ways. You focus on details, and I love it ❤️. But it seems like you are just playing the blame game to become famous. Motorinc has the guts to spit out the facts and is famous because of their quality content ❤️. No hate, but instead of blaming someone or any other companies, produce some quality content and educate people on what criteria they need to consider while buying a motorcycle.

You missed the whole point of the video despite such lucid explanation. I knew that there would be many fanboys who would come to defend him, and your comment isn't surprising. You may please continue to think what you think; I am not here to argue with his fanboys. This video is for those who could not ascertain WHY he was undoubtedly negative about the Triumph. Also, next time when you talk about "quality" content, introspect a bit. You MIGHT find out that production quality is NOT quality; rhetorical statements are NOT quality, personal preferences are NOT quality, perspective is NOT quality. Quality content is sticking to your f**kin job as a reviewer where you present facts, and not your own preference in motorcycles where you somehow bring the Multistrada in every discussion.

Perspective from the experts like Shumi and you are really important for the buyers. Without perspective and personal preference from expert, just reading specs sheet is not a review according to me. Even MKBHD - Gadget reviewer gives personal opinions and provides perspective about the phone and other gadgets. He is called the best youtube reviewer in the history of youtube and not Technical Guruji. And I read the reply comments, it shows that you are not open to feedback and have jealously towards people who have succeeded.

@_hello_world_1 jealousy? Lol! Success is not subs and views. You won't understand that because you are anyway focusing on my replies to the five percent fanboys like you who are coming here to defend their master! 😂 I don't need your validation. And, no, without perspective and personal preference a review does NOT become a specsheet overview. You haven't watched my reviews. They are the perfect example of that. But, no, you will defend your master's class of rhetorics and perspective and not facts 😂

What he was talking about was character of the bike . A retro bike need to have a laid back and slow reving engine to make it feel like it's retro. Imagine classic having a high reving engine, would it have a laid back and old school vibe when you ride it . That's what a bike's character is .

Bravo! Bro I have always seen these guys praising RE and I doubt they are well paid. For instance, I don't see them comparing Avenger 220 with RE, that's retro, much better ride quality and much better in many ways. In comparisons I see statements such as 'Vibrations' gives character on RE, but for other bikes it is bad, 'Slow' for RE is 'laid back eaasy ride' for others it is too slow. I mean do a good comparison, Personally I never felt the media Hype on RE to be true.... I am not RE hater, I love their classic looks and appeal, however I don't just go by Hype of the sound it makes, that we get in 'Diesel' rikshaw as well and Diesel pumps much better noise.
