Quite detailed and sensible review! Lots of relevant details covered, unlike those reviewers who make 45 min of boring reviews 😂! Thanks for the details. I want to upgrade my F 250 (ridden 35k already)pulsar to either 452 Himalayan or triumph scrambler... though still not sure between the two! Price and new Himalayan and its cross-spoked tubeless tyres might make the difference! Weight of Himalayan is also something which is quite bothersome!

@RealAutoReviews I am owning a Speed 400 and i am 5'5. The riding posture is something which was not as per my liking as i was riding a Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise before it. I have installed a Handle Bar Raiser from Zana worth Rs. 2399+GST from Truimph Showroom itself. The posture is far more superior than before as it raised the handle bar close to 2 inches and also move forwarded towards me for about an inch which made it posture more upright and drastically improved the manoeuvrability as well. For all those short riders, who likes an upright posture which enables touring so easy without any back pain should get this installed. Thank you so much buddy. This is literally a wonderful review and i kinda feel the same as there is no tweaks in the engine between the two and both are delivering a same performance, Speed being a bit fast in drag race due to its 8-10 KG light from Scram. I took a test ride for Scram as well. Bike looks substantially taller and wide with respect to Speed 400 but guys having a height of 5'9 or more should strictly go for Scram. Overall, I still feel the value for money preposition will be in Speed 400 ball park due to 35K less on road price. Lots of love from Faridabad Haryana India.❤

Thank you for the lovely review. The only thing stopping me from booking a scrambler is that there is a lot of talk about the engine getting stalled while downshifting or holding the clutch. Due to this reason alone I am thinking about Honda H'ness because engine reliability is in question but getting an all rounder bike would definitely be my preference. Also I am okay with waiting for a while till the second slot comes in but cant wait for too long. Please guide.

Iam 5feet 9inches, and I rode scram and speed back to back. I feel the seat height in the scram is a bit intimidating while negotiating U turns and in bumper to bumper traffic I had to tip toe. The wide handle bars don’t feel easy to live with in city traffic. Talking about the speed, I think it is the better bike of the two for city commute and for that amazing handling and throttle response in every gear. It is super flickable and brings smile on your face every time you throttle it. The ride quality is plush and rider triangle is very good despite a forward lean. If your commute is going to be mostly in the city then I would say that speed is the more fun and agile bike to ride. For highways the scram makes a point for itself.

When I put up this question with the salesman (Triumph) about heating up expecially in such a short duration, he said that this bike is & has been used only for test riding. So basically there are many hands on it for riding & within no time there is this next test ride given to the customers & secondly, he said, heat issue will be forever gone post first servicing. Now, I am a bit worried as to should I be trusting that guy by buying the bike like a wait & watch or it really has that issue in such a short period & settles down later or what was that all about? Can you help me answer that please. Thanks in advance.

@@HrishikeshDeshpande-ti2ez Great. Here's the answer, then. See, you should never trust the showroom sales people as most do not have any technical knowledge. More importantly though, people need to understand the difference between normal heat vs "overheating". If you're feeling heat on your legs, that's not overheating. As and when the bike overheats, there would be a warning on the instrument console, and that's rare. 😃 But, coming to the issue of "if it's hot enough to roast your legs to a degree that all non-veg dhaba owners might want to kidnap you?" NO. The bigger Harleys do that. This doesn't. Hope this helps! 😃

Great Review! ❤ My questions : 1. Is it comfortable like RE Himalayan or KTM 390 Adventure for long distance touring for 500-600 kms a day? 2. Is 150 mm suspension travel capable enough for off roading? and how does it compare with himalayan and 390 adventure in terms of off roading?
@RealAutoReviews6 ай бұрын
Thank you so much ❤️❤️ 1) Considering all factors, this would be almost as good, if not better 😃 2) I have said this earlier in many videos: ADVs are NOT off-road bikes. They are the absolute best touring bikes that can also handle bad roads with aplomb, thanks to their long suspension travel and high GC. Off-road bikes (read: "MX bikes") are supposed to be light, which the Himalayan isn't. The KTM and Triumph aren't either but they are still "comparatively" lighter. But then the KTM's gearing is the absolute worst you can get for your off road adventures. The Himalayan's is the best. The Scrambler is in between. The crux is, it's the Scrambler that does the most justice to an on/off road bike here 😃

@@RealAutoReviews Hi, so I ended up booking the scrambler. I test rode both bikes 3 times. I loved the engine in the interceptor. So smooth, effortless, relaxed engine. I loved its looks and sound. However in my third test ride, I went with a pillion. Everything went well. I enjoyed the test ride and was almost sure that I will book it. But unfortunately, while getting down my pillion burnt her leg from the left side exhaust. At first I thought it's not too much. But it was quite serious. Even after 2 weeks, it's nowhere close to healed. A big burn. Now we got scared. Anyone can get hurt, if not very careful in this bike. I didn't want this kind of fear. What if it was my mother. We can't be wearing full riding gear at all times after all. And since I was deciding on my first bike, I wanted it to be a do it all bike. The scrambler on the other hand, just clicked at the right places for me. So easy to ride. Lightweight, comfortable, sufficient power. Yes, it's not as beautiful as the interceptor but surely it too is a good looking bike. Plus the extra features over the interceptor made it a little bit easier to decide. It was a difficult decision. Everyone around me now knows everything about these two bikes, as I asked everyone 😂. But finally I am happy with my decision. Will get the bike this weekend. There were a few other factors as well while deciding, but these were my major thoughts. If someone like me, who loves RE, who loved the interceptor so much has gone for the Triumph. Then I think Triumph and Bajaj have indeed done a great job.

But, keeping your advice in mind and will give time for adjustment and the hand placements to build muscle memory ☺️❤ Also thinking of the checking barkbusters hand guard the slim model one covering the levers. Will wait for a month or three in stocks. Wanted to share with you. Cheers Bro!!!

Thanking you brother. Also a small update for you. I checked with the The triumph dealers for checking bar end mirrors for knowledge and they told me that Scram handle bars dont have provision to add speed’s bar end mirrors from official accessories costing 7.5K. So was thinking of other accessories as well like Bark busters hand lever guards and RE GT650 bar end mirrors. But sure Brother will keep your advice in mind and not remove hand guards for time being. Will give 3months in stock before I check as per your advice ☺️👍🏽 cheers and keep up the gr8 work you do

Im confused between the Himalayan and the scrambler, my usage is mostly in city and highways, occasionally on dirt/mud roads (city uage: Bangalore roads with a lot of pot holes😅). I test drove both of them and liked the feel, comfort and performance of both. My preference tend to lean a bit towards the scrambler as I enjoy it in terms of acceleration and it is more fun to ride. What i need to know is, did u notice any advantage of scrambler in city usage compared to the Himalayan? Is there any valid points that i can choose a scrambler over the Himalayan for my use case?

A very very precise and the most detailed and accurate review that I have come across till now. I have a question and I know you are the right person from whom I can expect a genuine answer to my question. My question is that I like in Kolkata previously owned a classic 350 for 8 years and was fully satisfied but I wanted to upgrade and then switched to a Dominar 400 UG accessories version a year back but my owner experience has not been good to what purpose I use my bike for. I mostly ride in the city and go for weekend rides but the Dominar feels very heavy in the city and it’s not comfortable which causes me lot of ride fatigue and back pain. I have finally decided switching to the Triumph bikes, I have a height of 5.9 feet and around 72kgs but I very very confused about speed 400 or the scrambler 400x. I don’t want to make the wrong decision again as my purpose is to have fun in the city and occasionally weekend rides and ride comfort is my priority. Could you please tell which will be better for me?

Your suggestions and questions are always welcome. I may not agree to it, but that doesn't take away the fact that you certainly can put forward your suggestions. What's the difference in capabilities of scrambler chassis an chassis of ktm 390 adventure? By how much

I am a bit confused, on one side I love the look of the scrambler more than the speed 400 but at 5'5" and 88kg and not much flexibility around the waist, I feel the speed 400 might be more easy for me to drive around in the city. Being hefty, I feel I will look a bit cramped on a speed 400 due to its smaller wheel base and all. However when I think I should take the speed 400 and then add the scrambler seat, its exhaust, mirrors, knuckle guards and the bash plate, I wonder if it would be cheaper for me to buy the scrambler rather than choose the speed 400? If the seat height could have been adjutsable a bit lower, I would want to take the scrambler any day. Is that possible?

Get the Scrambler. Your weight is advantageous here. You will compress the suspension quite a bit, thereby shortening the distance required to reach the ground 😃 Don't even think about the Speed 😊

@RealAutoReviews6 ай бұрын
ALL dual purpose tyres are a compromise. So the company isn't "conning" you in any way. Let's not forget that ALL of us were expecting these bikes to carry an ex-showroom price of over three lakhs. At their current prices, which will probably increase the moment they have over 100 dealerships in place, the bikes are phenomenal value for money, especially considering the build quality, and fit and finish levels. Like I have mentioned in the review, wear the stock tyres out, and then upgrade to better rubber keeping YOUR priorities in mind 😃
