Your review reflects perfectly the reality . I appreciate you to be the most honest possible. I have experienced very bad feelings about the rear suspension too , totally uncomfortable in not perfectly flat roads. The thing i don't like is that many other youtubers don't point that out so frankly, that's why i go out and try all the motorbikes, i'd like to get, personally. I haven't still bought the trident 660 , but that's my n1 option because i'd like a motorbike that's perfect for town and in doing many other things fairly , since i would go all day, all year , through the town mainly.

I own a Trident 660 and also in white. Everything you said is accurately my experience as well. No one else has been this honest in their reviews. For this reason I’ll hit subscribe. I’m off for a 3000km road trip in November with my wife as pillion. Have Hepco & Becker panniers and top case. I have stiffened the suspension because with pillions on board it bottoms out on speed bumps. This weekend I’m adding a Stedi flood light and INNOVV K3 cameras.

Very nice!! Two up on this bike will be a feat though. But it's always doable with good will. You guys have fun. Ride safe 💪😁 Do you have an instagram account? I'd love see that trip 👌😎 We just came back from our trip and we'll have some updates I'll be sharing soon. My wife says next upgrade will be a screen though 👌

the rear suspension is too springy, which caused me back-pain, so i got it tightened to the maximum, i.e. 7-point setting, and pain in my mid-back was gone. Also, i too can't drive it more than 1 hour, i have to get off the bike, take some rest, because it leaves me butt-hurt due to hard/narrow seat. Gear shifting isn't smooth with the Quick-Shifter and it was the same before i got the QS installed, as well, ..... & the gear box is clunky. Throttle Lag is definitely noticeable. Mileage per liter is half of what is claimed, i think my Trident gives not more than 13-14 kmpL only ... and i am afraid it could be 10-12 KmPL actually. Lastly, Brake-Lever is puny/tiny, i have to search for it sometimes, it could've been wide/bigger, to allow my foot to rest on it properly. Looking forwards to your next video after & during your 2000 Km journey. Thanks for the honest review.

@@John_Neves I discovered that the first noise in your video belongs to the ride by wire throttle, as its an electronic actuator, i dont know exactly why it makes such noise, but it seems many people report this even on their T100s. However mine feels a lilttle harsh on the engine after riding it hard for a while, like more vibrations, as it was out of oil, but I gave a look at my oil level and found nothing relevant, have you felt something similar?

Obrigado pela opinião. Estou muito inclinado para comprar uma Trident e tenho assistido a muitos vídeos e é só prós. Finalmente um vídeo onde pode ver os contras. Passado este tempo todo a tua esposa continua a gostar da mota? O problema do acelerador continua?

Hey there 👋 This is still a fantastic little bike, and in my opinion has a sort of exclusive look to it. But the rear suspension does truly suck. Aftermarkets are available of course, but with so much criticism, i don't understand why triumph have not sorted it out yet... 🤔

I love my triumph 660, however the rear shock is the worst I've ever had on a bike. It's also terrible for long distance riding. Unfortunately I'm going to sell mine and get a bmw.

The triumph is an awesome bike for the price. It great for fun rides, however after 6 months I'm missing the power and touring ability I'm after. I'm going to buy the bmw f900. $10.000 more but like you said, you get what you pay for.

@@spacetraveler3286 I see... You know... i have 3 bikes, a Z1000, a Vstrom 1000 and the Trident, which is actually my wife's. Now, i can tour on any of these bikes and i have done so. Of course the Strom is the most comfortable, but the Trident is not much off, and it is so much easier to manoeuvre around town and what not... The Z, well, it´s just a savage in the twisties, fine around town, and not the most comfortable to travel, but i love taking her regardless. Trust me, i've had loads of bikes. In the end, every bike will be a compromise. 😁 Not saying you should not buy the BMW, it's essencial if traveling with a pillion, but you will definitely miss the lightness of the Trident. 😉
