I have been asked weather or not the Triumph Trident 600 in restricted A2 spec, with only 48hp is enough.
So, gracefully, i decided to make this short performance video for you all to know, that it's more than enough to get you into serious trouble with the law :)

In Thailand, the test was 212 km/h. And I tested it myself at about 180 km/h.

Hi there. This is the A2 restricted version. Only 48 hp 👍

Could you potentially do a video on how the throttle restriction works and how to remove it? finding nothing online :(

Hi there 🖐 The throttle is electronic. You have to install the unrestricted throttle from Triumph, which they should give to you when you buy a new bike, then get the bike re-tuned by them. You can also buy an original un-restricted throttle from Triumph, if for some reason, non was given to you. I have heard that it is possible to tune the restricted throttle but i have no proof.

Nice! Adequate speed for a (mid sized) naked, however the 660's strength is its excellent torque! Speed without torque means little. Regards!

Hey there. Wind screen is a puig. Very good. Doesn't look bad IMO, and makes the ride much more comfortable for travelling. It does increase the wind noise in your helmet though. But you can solve that with a scarf. I've already made a video on the screen with some tests, that I'm editing now. Hopfully I'll have it out next week 😉

In NZ 🇳🇿 & Australia our equivalent of A2 is called LAMS Learner approved Motorcycles & are restricted by power to weight ratio & Trident is 53hp. The Kawasaki Vulcan 650 is 60hp but is 235kg as to Trident 189kg. In New Zealand & Australia 660cc is maximum you can go but HP is higher than A2 but A2 you can buy a bigger bike like T100 Bonneville & he have it restricted to 48hp & once got full license derestrict so only need to buy one bike.I. NZ or Ausie 660cc is max & can't go bigger to you have full license.53hp Trident compared to 47-48hp the extra 5-6hp makes a big difference.

No és normal... 180-190 A2. Normal passa 210

Tengo el mismo problema. El concesionario que me lo vendió dijo que como tiene poca potencia no alcanza el torque. Puede ser ?

The restricted A2 spec must make quite a difference.

I Haven´t drag raced any "Normal" one yet, but when i do, i'll post ir for sure! Anyone around the channel interested in Drag Racing the Restricted A2 Trident? With an unrestricted one of course :)

On the test bike I got in forth gear 170km, red lighting the revs.

did you change exhaustion pipe or change ECU?

@@williamwang3432 I have a 81HP model from November and I did not change anything on the engine. Top speed is around 220km depending on the wind. It uses between 4 and 5L/100km. Mostly I drive on torque and not on revs, changing gears around 5000 to 6000 revs. But I drive at 3000 as well, the engine is smooth enough.

@@Jay_Speed that is quite impressive. I never run up to 200km but my 660 bike's previous owner changed to straight pipe and I also overwrote the ECU. still not so powerful as I expected.

@@williamwang3432 Overwriting an ECU for the moment is not really that good. There are a lot so called specialist that simply get something from the net and charge a lot of money. You need a really good one for some benefits. I am weighing 70kg, with gear 76kg and have a screen from Puig on the bike.
