Found a nice native brook trout stream. This was the first time going to this area. I look forward to returning throughout the winter.

Good video man, question I'm renting a cabin w/wife xmas week in whitepath area of Georgia. I looked on map and looks like Ellijay river not too far? Do you think I'll have luck catching trout in that part of Ellijay river?

Thanks. Honestly I've never fished the Ellijay. If they stock it I would say its a good bet you'll have luck. Personally I would hit the headwaters and tribs.

Thanks for the video. How do you like your Moonshine Drifter Fly Rod?

Love it. May get the 9 foot as well and retire my Redington.

Nice! Very jealous. What flys are you using to catch them? I've done a few treks up to North Georgia specifically looking for native Brooks but no luck so far, can't wait till I find some.

Thanks. It can be tough work getting to those streams but well worth it. I was using a pink San Juan dropped with a caddis pupae. In hindsight I probably should have dry dropped using a deer hair caddis and caddis pupae. Especially with the water so clear and low. I can't wait to hit it after a good rain.

Who would take a trip like that in bright colored shorts and no net?
@trouttrailfishin2 жыл бұрын
I had a net. I also spoke on the fact I wore bright shorts. As well as why I wasn't using my net. Thanks for your input.
