i got a perfect semi for you. l9000 mechanical n14 cummins, 9 speed on walking beam suspension. that suspension is perfect for going in and out of fields! it would need your nice clean louisville cab swapped on it. this one has typical rust. runs like the day it was made.....and it has a good clutch!

The radiator on my F2 leaked for the last five years and I just kept feeding it, then I put a water pump in it last year and discovered the fan shroud had wore a slit in the top of the tank, goobered some JB weld on it and it doesn't seem to leak anymore.

You should be running full rpms for consistent performance. I believe your high idle with no load should be somewhere around 2500 + or - 50 but your book should have the correct figures. On my L2 I rarely let the engine get down to 2300 rpm and that was only in very green stem soybeans which is a load sometimes. Never slow your engine down with the throttle lever while combining because you will have trouble getting a clean sample. It's made to run wide open. Edit... I run the L2 no lower than 2400 which is the rated loaded rpm.

@cesmith4566 3 жыл бұрын
It runs pretty constant at 2500rpm. Doesn't seem to slow down evan in heavy corn. Does anyone still make a concave or rasp bars for a M2? I'm leaving kernels on a few cob's.
@SilverGleaner
@SilverGleaner 3 жыл бұрын
@@cesmith4566 Not sure if AGCO still does but if your bars aren't too bad they can be rebuilt. I think Sunnybrook does them and they might offer a new concave too. It's easier to get new L series parts lately.

@SilverGleaner 3 жыл бұрын
@@cesmith4566 Did you find new bars and concave yet? Not sure if AGCO offers one still or if they do that it might be much higher priced. Ebay shows a 9 bar which is mainly used for small grain www.ebay.com/itm/V18039-Concave-9-Bar-Fits-Gleaner-Combine-M-MH2-MH3-M2-M3/271416969249?hash=item3f31b64821:g:sdwAAOSwn1FZtgtR I also found a 7 bar that is more for corn/soybeans here www.agriseek.com/s/Gleaner-Concave All State Ag Parts looks like they sell a quality concave but you'd have to call them to get details. www.tractorpartsasap.com/conventional-concave-new-gleaner-103067.html Abilene shows bars with hardware for $950 but they look like the narrow tooth which are needed for small grain. They'll work in corn but in green stem soybeans not so good compared to wide spaced bars. Wide spaced bars do damade wet corn a bit but I rarely combine wet corn with my L2 or R52. By wet, I mean over 22%. I'd be less concerned about 7 vs 9 bar concave and focus on getting wide spaced cylinder bars. Call these suppliers because they may not show that they have the concave or bars but they may still be able to build them. Also call and your AGCO dealer. I have found generally AGCO has better quality and if the box of parts shows up damaged or missing pieces, the other companies might leave you in a bind trying to resolve the issue. I ordered an SCH cut system from AGCO and about 1/3 of the guards were gone because the boxes of parts looked like they traveled through the Battle of the Bulge and my dealer replaced every thing with what he had on hand plus they ordered the wrong knife head and they resolved that right away. It cost my $75 more through AGCO than Shoup.

@@cesmith4566 Also I'd go back to your injection pump and set your high rpm at 2500 to 2550 so you don't have to adjust the speed with the throttle lever. The whole combine will do a better job because the governor will go to it's hard set spot and only dip under load and not overshoot when the load suddenly lightens. Use an rpm gun from NAPA using reflective tape to get true engine rpm when setting it but your monitor will probably be close enough.
