@@supadoopa926 umm no, diesels are are never fine to start right up. I am a diesel technician and literally every class 8 and down diesel needs to warm for 10 seconds before starting. It isn't just the glow plugs, the ECM needs to get the pumps and all the electronics going before the engine should be started. And you should wait until all the dash lights go away before starting a diesel

If you have a starting button it probably does it all by itself. With a key you need to warm the plugs (or air heater in the intake) a few seconds. When it's not freezing you don't need to care at all. American engines, so called HD diesels can be shit when it's cold. My diesel starts right up no matter the temp when I pre-heat for like 3 seconds. No HD diesel though but that doesn't matter. Have a video on my channel.

i'd drive that truck down south somewhere and sell it there, older diesel trucks are worth good money down there.

Hell yea it is.. I priced out a 2018 Duramax and by the time I was done with all my options and everything I wanted it was a $85,000 truck.. so that's y I got a 2013 AMG cls 63 and a 2005 duramax for a good amount less than a new Duramax ... Trucks r crazy now a days

JLee you’re naive. Add another 3 feet between the front and rear wheels and you’ve changed the turning radius drastically and hampered the maneuverability for tight spaces. Even towing a fifth wheel with an extended cab (the rear doors are half size, reverse opening) is made easier than towing with a full crew cab, and you’re saving less. Btw, this truck ain’t the size of a 3 block building. It’s actually quite small and efficient for what it needs to do and isn’t overly big in any way. But I also live in Alberta and everyone and their dog own big trucks.

Some old reliables need some work first. I'm driving a 23 year old Jeep, it needed work, and still needs more. It has never left me stuck anywhere though. The thing is to fix them properly, and not try to be cheap and find the cheapest solution, because those always cost more.

snoopdogie187 exactly my 20 year old f250 consistently pulls heavy loads while still being as reliable as it was 5 or 10 years ago. 200k miles ain’t nothing.
