Question for you friend: Why did you get rid of your Martin Logan’s and replace them with JTR speakers? Are these truly that much better than the Martin Logan 13’s? I don’t know if they are better. That’s hard to definitively decide. For my room and use the JTRs are better. Much easier to place and stage. They also are much louder and meaner. Movies it’s not even close. Music is where the 13a’s shine. Just need to have a perfect room for Martin Logan’s.

Gotta figure out how I'm gonna pair it with a Cheap Parts Express Sub1500 lol. $160 Sub Vs $1630 Sub. Eventually I'll have (2) F18s but for now I'm gonna play around with just (1) F18 and my cheap 15" Sub.

What does your rew graph look like with that sub placement. Get you a minidsp and Run two upfront and two nearfield if you can. Tactical response will go up tremendously. That’s how I have my four subs setup and I like it much much better than all four upfront. You have some great gear bro. I know it sounds awesome
@MusclesAVS

I actually have a totally flat REW response and run a MINIDSP. It was almost totally flat to 10hz before audessey. I have to run the subs this way because I use a McIntosh C2600 for music and I only run the Rythmiks for music. They are the most accurate subs I have ever tested, the only ones I will use for music, nothing has come close. Thanks for the tips though, I have this thing finally dialed and I need to enjoy it. I will be upgrading my electrical next week, hopefully that will be it for a while :) .

Vinny Diesel that is awesome. Rythmiks are the cleanest subs I have heard to date. What are your thoughts on the jtr subs for music compared to the rythmiks?
@MusclesAVS
@MusclesAVS 4 жыл бұрын
Bon Scott they use a dsp which creates a 7 second delay. I can’t really do a head to head with them because I have no way of getting the delay to my speakers to match them correctly. I could do it with a second minidsp but I am content with the amount of bass I get from the 2 F18 Rythmiks. The JTRs add a ton to movies and games though.

Wow. Of the Rythmik subs you have had which would say are best for movies? I watch more movies than listen to music. I have about a 4,200 cubic L shaped room that is open to a dining room, kitchen and hallway. I have a sealed sub currently and would ideally want to pair it with a sealed sub(s) to not forfeit the investment I made, but wonder if I should sell the sealed sub (an SVS SB13 Ultra) and get some ported subs instead due to the size of the room. My current sub was perfectly adequate when the furniture arrangement put the listening position near field to the sub, but the furniture arrangement was changed to make a more open space which now puts the listening position much further away which has neutered the sub. You have owned basically every Rythmik sub I have been interested in. However, I recently discovered the JTR brand of subs which are highly recommended on online forums. I was actually looking at the Rythmik F18s and the JTR RS1 to complement the sub I already have, so nice to see this video. Would you ditch the sub I have now and go ported or buy some more sealed subs? The SVS SB13 Ultra has been discontinued. Thanks a lot in advance. Regards.
@MusclesAVS
@MusclesAVS 4 жыл бұрын
If you are going for movie watching you are going to want to go ported. I have an SB13 Ultra for my bedroom system. Its a capable little sub but it is not good for movies. The best bang for the buck out there is the Rythmik FV18 Paper cone sub. Its like 1800$ and it doesn't really have any competitors in that price range.

Amazing system and great to follow your journey seeking better audio . You are probably 1 of the lucky few who may have enjoyed both . I’m planning on getting one of either .
@MusclesAVS
@MusclesAVS 2 жыл бұрын
Id say the G25HP is better for music and the JTR is better for Movies(more violent down low). I also liked the small footprint of the JTR. The RS1 might be my all time favorite sub for the size, cost and output.

@MusclesAVS 4 жыл бұрын
Adnan Abbas hard to say. I don’t know your budget or listening habits. The RS1 is a small subwoofer that puts out a ton of sound. It has a very powerful low end. The Rythmik is punchier but has about 3db less output.

Pros for Rythmik. Cost is much lower and they are faster and more accurate. They don’t have the low end of the JTRs. If budget is no concern I would go with JTR for movies. They have significantly more output than the rythmiks. If I were movie focused I’d go RS1.

How do the Jtr towers compare to your previous ML speakers? I am always scared of speakers with large diameter woofers being used for midrange because it is more difficult to control a large and heavy woofer. Don’t the Jtr’s have bad midrange due to the 12 inch woofers?

@@MusclesAVS I spoke to Jeff. He supplies 120v cord but not 240v. Sidenote: these JTR subs make no sense to me. The back of a cap 2400 says 120v 4a, and the cap 4000 says 120v 8a. How can these claim to be 2400w or 4000w rms when they are only drawing 480w or 960w, according to the amp panel? The Rythmik F18 says 120v 10a or 240v 5a and they claim 900w...so their math actually makes sense.... But the JTR amps and wattage claims make no sense. Any insight from your end? Thanks for any input you have.

JBL's aren't anywhere near as sensitive and can't handle anywhere near the power. Nobody goes louder or cleaner with lower distortion for the money than JTR. There is a reason that the whole audio world is talking about this man and his subs. I get messages all day about them. There is a 2 month wait to even get them. JBL's are good, but more of a music only speaker. They are also too physically big for my space. I do music and movies so I needed the best I could get for both worlds. I can't even make these speakers show a hint of distortion at any volume, even at over 1000watts of Mcintosh power. I no longer have the Martin Logans, I sold them.
@Taylor-oe7zx
@Taylor-oe7zx 4 жыл бұрын
@@MusclesAVS I'm kind of confused. It's bit blanket statement to say all JBL speakers are not as sensitive or can't handle the power of JTR. Also, you talk about JTR subs, I was only talking about JBL speakers, that is, not their subs. I disagree with your opinion that JBL is 'more of a music only speaker' it really depends which JBL you get. Mine are JBL Synthesis 4367. You're correct about them being too big. I plan on getting K2 S9900 or even DD67000 one day. I respect your opinion that JTR is better, it's true that they are slightly more sensitive then either of these JBL. My JBL are 94dB sensitive and play very loud with just 50W of power. My McIntosh stereo amp rarely breaks the 75-80W mark. But if I got a bigger room and sat farther away, I believe I could push 150-300W during movie/music peaks. Indeed, my speakers can handle 300W RMS, probably double that for peaks. I plan on getting a pair of subs once I move to a bigger space. But first I want to upgrade my speakers to JBL K2 S9900. Maybe the DD67000 if I can afford it. But for now I don't really have space to fit any and I am very happy with bass performance I get right now. I EQ my speakers during movies and I get fairly even frequency response down to 20hz. But when the time comes, I will most likely get JL Audio Gotham subs as I prefer them the most out of the other subs I've heard, REL, KEF and yes even JTR.
@MusclesAVS
@MusclesAVS 4 жыл бұрын
@@Taylor-oe7zx Gothams aren't competitive by todays standards. That 20hz high pass filter is no good for movies. You could best them in sound quality and output for 1/3 of the price. I had dual F113's if you look at my other videos. You have a lot of reading to do my friend. I have heard the JBL's, didn't blow me away. I have a dealer less than a mile from me. I am guessing you are from Europe, you guys always think what you list is the best stuff, and it's good, just nothing special. Where did you get to demo some JTR speakers? I have a feeling you haven't. I have owned so much equipment in the last 2 years that it's staggering. Anytime someone says that JL Audio subs are the best I know they know nothing about the current crop of sub technology. 10+ year old design. 13" woofers....lol.
