Yeah, I'm italian and I can confirm, in case there's actually really need for it, we flattened the curve because of how strict our lockdown measures have been for two entire months and when we opened up we did It slowly and even now there are a lot of activities still closed (like cinemas and theaters) and limitations on many others. In all of this, we ramped up our testing and our tracking of the cases, to isolate possible clusters. And guess what? Cases are still going down. Because tests don't create cases, they FIND cases. If you find so many cases, is because you failed your lockdown and tracking measures spectacularly.

Here in America, there was a "Safer at Home" order and absolutely no tracking measures. Also they are still under reporting deaths from A.C.L. (elder homes). It's very sad, and lets then mention the Police Brutality.

*Exactly!* All the countries that he showed with flattened curves have *better* testing (per capita) than the US. And yet, Germany, Italy and Spain are reporting less and less cases. I cannot wrap my head around the GOP's stupidity, how can they not see that this is going to prolong the pandemic and hurt our economy?

Here is the USA, we had states that did not even implement a lock down order. We had states that locked down for a whole two weeks or so before getting bored, or greedy and opening up again with almost no restrictions or conditions or precautions. And It's looking real bad in a lot of places. Our average daily new case count is more or less a plateau from May 4th to today.

In Kentucky, people wear their masks.... Went to the Lexington BMW dealership to get service on my sons Mini Cooper, everyone had masks. Social distancing. Staff cleaned car door handles and steering wheels before entering the vehicles. Staff were cleaning doors, and sales staff wiped handles and steering wheels for customers. Masks are for others, not just for yourself. I wear my mask to protect my immune suppressed wife. And myself. People need to protect their neighbors by being more mature, and responsible.... you know, when america “used to be great”, civic duty was considered patriotism....

the downside to testing is that compared to when we were not testing very much, it makes it look like the virus is spreading more. The fact is we just didnt know about it. Nothings changed except the stats. It gives a false perception that the virus is increasing but it is not. If you cant get that you either dont want to or you are too dumb to get it. Pretty simple concept actually. Its actually good news, more people actually ahve it than we thought and the deaths to infection ratio is going way down. Its at like .125 percent now. Before all this testing and combined with the death certificate fraud it made it look like this virus was actually dangerous and they put it at 7% death rate. Now everyone is starting to see what we already knew. The whole thing was a fraud perpetrated by the left.

Antibody testing and testing should go hand in hand. What’s the point in testing someone for their job/to get surgeries done etc repeatedly when an antibody test could tell you it’s not necessary to be tested again and again. But yet any regular person still can’t just go get tested without passing a questionnaire unless you find a pop up tent. Crazy

I am taking it seriously. My husband works from home. I’m a nurse, taking time off. I disinfect our frozen/ fridge items; all other groceries and deliveries get “quarantined” for at least 3 days. I made homemade face shields months ago. We aren’t all awful. Side note: I wish I could move to Canada. This country has scared the bejeebers out of me for years.

You didn't do well with math did you? Look, its really easy to figure out. Take your total tests so far (2,216,730) and divide into your total population (37,742,154) = this equals a percent of testing at .06%. You take USA tests so far (26,500,497) divide that out by total population (330,806,424) = .08% of population has been tested. So Canada would have to test another 754,843.08 to even compare to our progress we have made here. And to be honest with you, the amount of infected, are not that far off if you divide the numbers out by population or "per capita". Currently your positive covid rate is 3/10 of a percent and the US is 6/10 of a percent PER CAPITA. If Canada tested MORE and actually caught up to our testing capability (per capita), essentially your infected would be very close to ours. BUT HEY, KEEP IT CLOSED.....you just can't blame it on the Covid.

@@MichelleWhitt Nice math massaging there. By your own numbers, the infection rate in the US is 100% higher than in Canada, while the testing rate is only 25% higher. Also, the major difference is that here we are passed the curve and even in Ontario the daily increase in cases has been around 0.6% while the cases in quite a few US states are spiking up in the thousands daily. Let's revisit this in a month, *eh*?

“You have to know what you’re doing!” What the Trump Org is know for, is in fact infamous for, is refusing to pay contractors the full agreed-upon amount, by claiming that their work was shoddy. How else do you get a better product for less, other than by simply refusing to pay what the better product is worth? (That he did this frequently, to the tune of more than 3,000 lawsuits in which Trump Org was the plaintiff, was well known before the 2016 election.)

Public health efforts are designed to PROTECT the majority of community. In times of crisis, adjustments need to be made for the maximum amount of people. Honestly, the world's always been this complicated and potentially-infectious. The only difference now is unhinged and essentially unrestrained Republican power under a complete idiot who *dismantled* the very systems that usually have us more or less sitting back and looking at regular pandemics as 'an overseas problem' because even if we've had kinda dumb presidents before like Dubya, doing the opposite of competent didn't used to be a point of pride about *everything* for the Right.

Death toll in America as I write, 119,943. Death toll in Australia, 102. Yes, there is a significant population difference (331 million vs 25.5 million) but factoring that in, Australia's death toll would be 1326.

Where I live, the most recent 'Covid-2019 death' was a 96 y.o. man who was in poor health. USA numbers are beyond bogus and our population is math-ignorant. Our local hospitals are nearly empty and one had to lay off staff. Keep selling your FEAR....be as sick as you want to be.

@@SunriseLAW you do realize that not every hospital is being used for covid-19 and that the shutdown affected those that needed surgery which would fill the hospitals. All of our hospitals are shut down except for ER traumas & illnesses. Otherwise were no surgery's not even short stays. Hence the layoffs. I haven't even been able to have a dental cleaning until today. You have to look at it a little more realistically but with maturation, you will figure it out. ❤️ From WVU Surgery & Trauma Services

The country has been screaming at the president for the equipment to conduct more testing for months, so Trump, after complaining for 5 minutes that the mountains of dead Americans are blocking his view to re-election, decides, right at the end, as an afterthought... to say... *_“but testing is good!"_*
