I’m finding so much inspiration from other creators and so I want to take you along trying Joie’s recent 3D collaged hearts, as well as Tina’s locket style charms and see how I can integrate them into my Travelers Notebook Junk Journal.

Oh my, Barbara I absolutely love what you did here!! 💜🌿The choice of pattern on it is amazing....I'm sitting in bed on a Friday morning watching this and I'm feeling like I need to run into my craft room and make some more 😁....I love adding a bit of thread to my projects these days so perhaps we'll be seeing more of that on both our channels. I absolutely love this double heart that is so special with your hand stitching down the center. I would just as soon do it by hand as I am not getting paid by the hour. At first I wasn't sure whether this video would hold my interest yet, it really did. I liked the winter rose. I was aware of a few things my eyes did not notice. However your decision to use a different page, for the beautiful heart was meant to be. Isn't it just something. The second page was so perfect with open cool colors and the bugs were home within the large mossy green leaves. I have copied the tiny message in my journal. I love your journal page and just as I thought you were finished; you added another butterfly to pick up the red!! Who knew? I have learned a thing or two. Thanks so much Barbara.

I loved your heart page. I love making those little photo embellishments. I use glossy accents to but you don’t want to use to much. If it cracks just reheat it and it will melt and straighten itself back out. Just left it cool off completely before touching it. You can reheat it as many times as you need to but be careful not to burn it. You can also do this same method to embossing powders as well.

Both wonderful projects. I like the way you used embroidery thread. I love using my label dies to make frames, but what a brilliant idea to die cut out clear sheet to use over the picture. I can frame my pressed flowers from my garden. It would protect them. Love it! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to give both projects a try.

Super beautiful all three pages😍😍😍 Love the way you made that heart with hand sewed stitches. It's so funny how we crafters all around the world evolve towards similar things at the same time. Yes, not so "magical" because we are all watching videos and we are all working with similar materials but there is something unique about it. And its happening in all areas of interest. Connecting and evolving communities. This is where our focus should be. I'm not saying tiny collages are bringing peace to the world! But I AM saying that something interesting is going on. And the Pinterest threads going around also add to that. What I call "Pinterpretation". Yes, you can infer from this that I am doing tiny collages myself. LOL. Gorgeous projects. It's great to see how you compromise when you don't have exactly the same products because it makes me look at my supplies in a different way. Thanks for the tip on printing the butterflies smaller! Since I'm also on a Mac I recognize all your menus! I love the frames and want to put old photos of my grandmothers when they were younger in some for my journals. This video gave me all sorts of ideas. Of course, we're in the middle of packing up our house for the big move to Texas and my supplies are not terribly accessible right now but some day!

I loved your addition with the hand stitching. The Asian locket was lovely. I also had cracking with glossy accents but tried something called Triple Thick which seemed to work well. The acetate looks so nice and will try it. After seeing your Asian locket, I want to try on a journal page with my adopted Chinese daughter's picture. Thank you Barbara.

Ich bin so verliebt in dieses Journal! Am Liebsten würde ich mich Mäuschen spielend unter deinen Schreibtisch setzen und mir selbst so eins machen - so viele geniale Ideen! Als du das corrugated cardboard raus geholt hast, hab ich mal wieder gemerkt - die Gedankenübertragung funktioniert! You really made these your own! I especially like how you approached the frames and found ways to make it work with what you have.
