The first snack - the salted pretzels are from Czech Republic actually (the company Vest is one of the biggest Czech producers of non-perishable breads). The text on the packaging is in Czech and the flag on the front is Czech :) so...not Russian. The name of the snack when translated means "little/small beers" which is why the pretzels are shaped to a form of beer glasses I suppose. Thanks for the review though, that filled gingerbread looked really good

Hello! I will provide pronunciation on some of the products. Mango-oolong would be "Mango-ulun" and tea - "chai". The ringed dry bisquits are called "sushki". The gingerbread would be "pryanik", the first one you had is from Tula. The last waffle cake is called "Mishka kosolapij". It's made by a famous brand "Krasnij Oktyabr". By the way wafers and waffles are the same word in Russian "Vafli".

As a russian-speaking person who is against the war, I'm glad that you included russian food. The food has nothing to do with politics. We must remember that Chinese politics are not the best either, but we do enjoy their food anyways. Be kind to each other! 🤗

If you are offended by FOOD you are weak. They said that they don't support the war but they like to try different food from around the world. If you are a fan of this channel you know this isn't a political channel so don't bring politics into this and let them do what they enjoy. Eating food.

Although I am uncomfortable with featuring Russian food or culture in a positive light during a time of war where Russia is the clear instigator of genocide, I also understand that not everyone who is born and raised in Russia is culpable for the vile acts of its government. I will continue to support Tabieats, but I do feel disappointed in them for putting up this video.

Russian people are also being oppressed, harmed, arrested by their own government for speaking out against the war. Russian culture is their culture too, and writing them off is not a healthy way to cope. You admit that their leaders are the problem, yet you still blame the people. The US commits atrocities to this day, and Tabieats review American inspired food all the time. But just because American media doesn't describe the govts actions the same, because they often minimize, dehumanize, and devalue the people whose lives have been destroyed needlessly at the orders of US leaders in the name of greed... You now think Russian culture is unacceptable, but not American..? The situation in Russia and the situation in AND recent history of the US are not that different at all.

@@dapper3160 The only difference between the two is that Murica LOVES to cloak its long list of atrocities in the name of "defending democracy, freedom and human rights", "for the common good", "upholding international rules and norms" and that high-falutin, hypocritical, double standard-ridden Pharisee-style rhetorical bullshit is actually what makes Murica's actions MUCH MORE OFFENSIVE than what Russia is currently doing now! I prefer NO STANDARDS over hypocritical double standards any day of the week! 🤬🤮
