I mean you can still "stay true to science" even by making your video look even better with "fancy shmancy graphics," I honestly don't think you're going to steer clear of the way of science by adding random effects and stuff. My favorite part of science has always been it's deep hatred of video after effects. On a real note, if you think I'm trying to be some sort of villain by ruining your fun, I'm not, You clearly have some vendetta against computer based effects, that is completely fine, I just don't like how you're trying to say adding those effects means you no longer follow the principals of science.

@neutronenstern.
@neutronenstern. 3 жыл бұрын
But theres another limit: If you've got 0 Bar in the tube above the water, then there will be only 1 Bar difference between air and tube. And thus the water cant be sucked higher than around 10m. Cause water with 10m hight has got 1Bar. And thus it comensates the pressure by itselve. So you can only suck it higher if there is already no air in the tube, cause then you can build up negative pressure in water. (yes you can build up negative pressure in water like you can in hard materials like wood, too if you pull on them. Water will "break" at negative 1000Bars and treewater at negative 100 Bar and thus trees can suck up water higher by building up negative 100Bars in them, cause there is no air inside of them)

@@NukelearFallout No we Geniuses don’t feel that away well not all of us our feelings can change but if our feelings were to be permanent it would be good feelings like confidence for example and I know a genius guy whom was born a leader and in two months he will gain leadership from his people as a representative to his people and because of that he’s you guessed it a social guy and fears nothing except god and death but he fears death depending on his deeds and so far they are bad deeds but he will repent. Geniuses that exists like him or similar to him are rare like I won’t even be surprised if they were Super Rare and about me well I’d rather not talk and don’t ask why it’s my desire so respect it as I would respect you for idk whatever good desire you have or opinion in anything. Note: if you think I’m lying to you like many people tend to that every single time I talk about that genius guy (my best friend) they just would not believe it and there’s many reasons for that stupid illiterate assumption and one of those reasons is because of my name now I’ll understand why you might not believe me because of (to you) inconsistent NICKname name regarding my personality but look I was never treated or respected in middle school for my genius ok don’t judge me I mean I don’t really care if you do not believe me I’ll care for your opinions only the good ones but the bad ones I’ll just ignore them because they won’t benefit me nor benefit you but they will only do the opposite unless like I said you don’t say those negative opinions in the first place so I wouldn’t have to ignore them and we both leave with nothing good but nothing bad too so if you don’t believe me well you’re a human being and humans beings have free will in everything so I can’t stop to do anything or change your mind on anything but I only can try to that’s the least I can do because as a human being I might as well f__ing force you to do or change your mind on anything but only bad or evil humans would do such things so I’ll just try and if my tries are hopeless I’ll leave to it and I will simply just walk away and that’s all peace be upon you.

What I like about this video that Veritasium didn't do, is that you actually videoed the liquid moving up. It's one thing to say "oh we just couldn't get it high enough," take a shot of the end of the liquid without seeing the full length, and then call it a day, but it's a lot easier to grasp and fully understand where it starts falling apart. It practically has a hard cut-off on suction, which is really interesting. I never thought of the liquid as pulling itself down due to gravity, but I guess that makes a lot of sense when you consider the fact that they at least try to stay together. It's not a bunch of bubbles resting on top of each other like tapioca balls, they're more like gelatin, they'll typically stick together unless forced to separate.

Not funny I didn't laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn't even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brainpower you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I'm not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You've single-handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I'm so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly, if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You're lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every war crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again. We should put that joke in textbooks so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. I'm disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that, you've wasted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. Now those kids are suffering without meals and there's nobody to blame but you. I hope you're happy with what you have done and I truly hope you can move on and learn from this piss poor attempt /s. not to be taken seriously :)

Now to do this in reverse and boil water by filling a long tube, as it drains it will create a vacuum. Basically a closed off siphon, water sealed bottom and air sealed top. It would be interesting to see if you can get a strong enough vacuum to freeze the water.

This was a long time ago, but I'm wondering if anyone could help. I'm siphoning water from a mega puddle of water that always occurs during heavy rain, and I'm trying to transport it across a vinyl tube about 25 feet long. The outer diameter is about 5/8 of an inch, and the incline is rather minimal; it's almost horizontal. My siphon is a bell siphon, as I wanted something with no moving parts and as automatic as possible. Trouble is that it seems there's a quite bit of resistance when trying to push water into the bell due to the tubing itself. Perhaps it's too long, and when water is already in it, the siphon still functions just very weakly. I'm wondering if drilling holes into the tubing will somehow lower the water pressure in the tubing, allowing the vacuum to push more water out of the puddle, into the tubing, and out of the flooded area.
