I have a quick question: How many rows did you knit in stockinette before you knit the tucks? Also, how many stitches were used in between the tucks? I'm looking at your work you have and it's so beautifully spaced out evenly, I was just hoping to recreate it.

+Stuart Kofron Stuart, in that sample I tucked every 10 rows, with 6 stitches between tucks - and that was using worsted weight yarn.

Hi Jennifer, loving this stitch and thank you for the video. In your expert opinion do you think it is at all possible (design-wise) to use this stitch for a cowl? Looking forward to your reply...thanks!

Hi Helen; yes you can absolutely use it for a cowl - you might want to take a look at my Ruckowl Cowl on Ravelry for an idea of how it can look. Glad the tutorial helped! www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruckowl

How do you do this stitch on the purl side, knitting through the front loop?
@knittingvortex6 жыл бұрын
I'd try it by purling two together first - the stitch behind from the tuck, and the stitch on the left needle.

I am knitting Merry or Whisper by Kim Hargreaves & I have come to the first tuck pattern row. There are 111 sts on the needle & it reads: ”Row 21 (RS):K28(30:32:34:36), tuck 5, K1, tuck 6, K1, tuck 7, K1, (tuck 8, K1) 3 times, tuck 7, K1, tuck 5, K5 (5:7:7: 9), tuck 5, K1, tuck 7, K1, (tuck 8, K1) 3 times, tuck 7, K1, tuck 6, K1, tuck 5, K to end.” I am knitting the largest size & I am finding there are way too many sts in this row. I’m getting: K36, tuck 5, K1, tuck 6, K1, tuck 7, K1, (tuck 8, K1) 3 times, tuck 7, K1, tuck 5, K9, tuck 5, K1, tuck 7, K1, (tuck 8, K1) 3 times, tuck 7, K1, tuck 6, K1, tuck 5 =167 sts . I must be reading this wrong?

I'm not familiar with that pattern, but I'd suggest reviewing the instructions from the beginning to try to determine where the inconsistency in stitch count is coming from.

I was wondering if you have a tutorial on how to do this stitch on the purl side.
