I actually liked that you couldn’t romance Tali in ME1. It made the progression of their relationship feel more natural, at least in my eyes. It meant I had to break up with Liara, but worth it IMO lol

this. problem is, a lot of people see 'is a space racist' and immediately hate and dismiss the character, ignoring that that very flaw leads to character development, which for any story is a GOOD THING! yes, she's kinda a shitty person but she grows after meeting the alien crew and becomes a better person. Kaiden......died on every playthrough i did so i dunno, he was whiney and boring and if anything Miranda gets LESS tolerable the longer her bubble butt sticks around. i'd take Ashley over either of them any day. i mean, if i wasn't already taking Tali and Garrus instead, of course

@@seanread5556 I'd disagree about Miranda as she does learn to open up more (at least with Shepard) and not rely solely on her self. Kaidan on the other hand starts ME1 with his character arc already complete, as you discover in conversations with him.

I think that is why Kaiden is the dullest of all the characters in ME. His story is done before the series starts, so you don't really lose the chance to see his tale progress. Miranda, you see her learn to rely on others. To open up and be vulnerable (even if you don't romance her). Remember that she is just as much a victim of Cerberus as Jack (their stories rhyme) but they broke in different ways from their trauma. Ash... Ash is personal for me. As a Christian from a religious household (mom was a Youth Pastor, nothing really nutty), it was natural to "love the sinner, hate the sin"... but in truth I was kinda a crappy person. I later realized that I was homophobic and transphobic (the latter ruined a friendship and I regret it every day for 20 years now), even though I believed I "loved them". I look back and see how bigoted I truly was. And all it took, was becoming friends with one guy who later realized he was gay... and I didn't care. He's my brother. From there I began to see how close-minded and shitty I truly had been and swore to never be that way again. So... yeah I relate to Ashley because I see similarities between how I used to be and where she starts the story. And now... I use True Strike.

Without their weapons they do vastly reduced damage to you. Especially if we're talking gunfights.

@@kbowman772 Disadvantage really isn't that big of a deal if they have a decent plus to hit and your character is a wizard with generally lower ac than the rest of the party, but I'd have to agree anyways. They might have two weapons in some cases.

Sabotage- the power that heat metal is being used to replicate- specifically overheats the weapons of your targets. So, while you *can* target the armor, the in-character choice is grilling weapons in most scenarios unless you're heating a construct.

That way Shepard and Liara can invite them to spend holidays at the Ten Thousand Blue Daughters Ranch
