Government should facilitate things that benefit society (socialism) but they must never control. Government control is tyranny, corporate monopoly is also tyranny. The answer to both is populism. Politics is not a linear spectrum, viewing it as such is the biggest issue right now. A Trump/Gabbard ticket would shatter this and bring independent and disillusioned democrats into voting for Trump.
