LESSON SUMMARY
In this lesson, we'll be transforming Ludwig van Beethoven's classic Für Elise into a sweet jazz piano tune. This will be super helpful whether you're a classical musician looking to make the transition into the jazz world, or just someone looking for a cool new way to play your music.
In this lesson, you'll learn how to:
-Jazz up any melody by adding swing, anticipations, and delays
-Add jazz harmony and chords to the melody
-Apply chord shells in the left hand for accompaniment
-Embellish the tune with jazzy fills and chord pops

Great, tks Jonny … but i wonder if we can turn classical into jazz but still keep 3/4 instead of changing to 4/4?

I like what you just did at the beginning of the video, but I would like to hear it, the same as it is, with jazz chords without changing the rhythm. Can You? Do you have the skills? I think you do. The change of rhythm damages the beauty of the piece. Pleas do it.

Hey 👋! No name calling, please! I've been a Classical Concert pianist most if my life, and I could swing jazz when I was 14..played with our great Band Director's jazz group which played at the Military bases nearby. Great fun...had no idea what I was doing until College. Just played by ear! Taught my college students this in Theory class later...it's what you're getting. A terrific college music theory lesson, applicable in any key. Have fun, everyone! And thank him!!
