Turn off Annoying Sound On Your LG Microwave Model

Annoying beeping sound and button sound on this LG Microwave. Instructions don't tell you how to turn it off.
To turn off just hold down the clear and sensor cook button until the info screen displays "off"
To turn it back on just repeat the steps.

Yeah that model came with my house. It's going to be ejected into space but this bought it some time. Note, if we could get it to increment by 1 or 5 seconds and not 10, we'd be set.

Yea that's the fucking sound. Would be cool if they had a less annoying alternative option, like a single beep that isn't too high pitched and drawn out like they would probably do if they gave the option. Though it would almost always be redundant when the sound of the microwave is generally always going to be enough on its own. So I have learned that it is model specific. For my model when I do that button combination, it says "ON", and then I set the microwave to go for a minute, and it RAPIDLY counts down to 0 lol. Interesting stuff. Mine is "clear" and "keep warm". Another video had clear and another button.

Our LG model MS2336 was Stop/Cancel + Inverter Cook. What a relief!

@@Siberius- We're relieved the bastard's mute now. Sorta wish there was an intermediate setting, ie beeps but no tunes. Display was too bright, a square of tint film fixed that.

Old vs new microwave for is this lg sounds like an old convection toaster oven. So loud. Would you say yours is loud? I’m pondering if the loudness of ours is normal.

Have the same issue Edit: mine didn't have a sensor cook button, but besides the auto cook there is an auto reheat. Holding that and clear for 3 seconds muted mine.

@synthesaurus try either what the other reply says, or it might be holding stop and timer at the same time. It varies depending on the exact model

@@travisjohnson4098 I've got an LG MS-324F. Can't find anything helpful in the manual, and trying out different buttons has not worked. Suggestions welcome :)

Mine doesn’t have Sensor Cook either. I tried the Keep Warm button plus the Clear button and it worked.

Thank you Joanna, I tried your method and pressed Keep warm at the same time as the clear button and it worked. So happy I don’t have to throw my microwave at the wall! It was driving me nuts.
