Agree 100%. There are more than a few Kickstarters I haven't backed because of this reason. I don't like spending $60 on a $25-$30 experience.

The game is $23 at Miniature Market...

@@saintsalieri That's a very reasonable price for the standard game. In fact, I will probably be picking this up. I was more referring to Kickstarter stuff. Most recent one I can remember as an example was Buru. Seemed like a decent little game, but in my opinion it was overpriced due to overproduced components

Tom mentioned the tiles could've been clearer as a small thing - But that's exactly what over producing does and I hate it as well! It's like every kickstarter has to look like the next Blood Rage or Ankh, and the clarity of the game is lost in over embelishment. Even the 20-30$ version is hurt. The dice tower videos always say how much progress board games have made, and 'every year is better than before' as it seems. Well, with kickstarter projects, and if you look at value-for-money, and accessibility of games, I'm no longer sure it's a true statement. Too many games are either good/ok but over produced and over priced, or are great games that cost an arm and a leg, and what good does it do if you can only get them if you backed them through kickstarter before anyone knew they are really going to be great? Let me shop for games after they are released and I see feedback on them.

@@Bynx08 I agree. Tutankhamun was one of the few Kickstarters I ever ordered from, and I think it was $30 plus shipping. But I agree that Kickstarter games are usually overpriced. They are also rarely interesting to me anyway, and I tend to prefer non-upgraded to "deluxe" components, which usually appear toylike and increase storage space for no good reason.
