There are lots of ladies who play bass. One of the all time greatest is one most people don't know, the session player Carol Kaye. She played on the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" and "California Girls", Sony and Cher's "The Beat Goes On" Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots", the Brady Bunch and Hawaii 5-0 theme songs, to name a few.

Talking Heads are great. David Byrne performed on SNL earlier this year and tore the house down. You should check out more of their songs, such as "Once In a Lifetime", "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" or "Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)" among so many others. This version of "Psycho Killer" sounds like an outtake or an alternate take of the song. The line "I passed out hours ago, I'm sadder than you'll ever know" got cut from the final version that made it onto the album Talking Heads '77.

Would love to see you guys react to Blondie's "Heart of Glass!" It was #1 in 1978, and they were responsible for helping to bring punk to the mainstream. As noted by another poster, their song "Rapture" is also great-- it is considered the first rap song-- By a punk band!

Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" is believed to be the forerunner of rap, that was electro-folk. "Rapture" was much later and is a great song, but the rap part is embarrassingly awful, and I say that as a Blondie fan.

Sonic Youth’s “Teenage Riot” from the album “Daydream Nation”. As a matter of fact the whole album is iconic experimental rock, and Sonic Youth is probably one of the most underrated, yet influential post-punk bands. They are my favorite band of all time, because they evolved but kept their style for over 20 years. I was the only black kid (at age 13)at one of their Goo tour back in 1990, and Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore waved at me. I was hooked! They were just as cerebrally inspirational to me when I saw them 12 years later than that back in 2002. Now at 43, I’m thrilled to see you guys breaking the mold with other bands of that era. Much love🧚🏾‍♀️

I'm so envious of you guys, when I was your age I had to wait till something came on the radio, take a chance and buy it, or have a friend play it to me to hear anything new, and your generation have pretty much a whole world of music at your fingertips and completely fresh ears to hear it. Talking Heads are one of my favourite bands, and they have tons of great tunes. Keep on doing what you are doing, I love it
