When visiting a new city, one of the first things I will google is "things to do in...". For my recent Toronto trip, when I googled "things to do in Toronto", the CN Tower was the number one tourist attraction. In this video, you'll see what this tourist attraction is really like and whether I think it's worth the visit or not. While in Toronto I also attended an ice hockey game to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play. I think seeing local sports in a new place is always fun but let me know what you think!

CN Tower - Worth it or not…
This was a debate I had with myself most days while I was visiting Toronto.
The more I travel, the more I have learnt that I am not a “Top Things To Do in….” type of traveller. I like to discover more unique experiences, amazing food and hidden gems. While each city has its own special charm, there can be a lot of overlap with certain attractions. I dont need to be visiting an aquarium in every city… ya know.
So when it came time to deciding wether to visit the CN tower in Toronto or not I was initially against it. I have been to similar towers before and while the views are great, they are not always worth the $50 it takes to ride the elevator up. A city skyline is a city skyline and once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen most. As a result, it wasn’t a part of my plan but it was still on the back of my mind.
It was overcast for most of my trip but we had one beautiful day and I had spent most of it inside filming a KZfaq video. By the time 3:30 rolled around I was eager to get out and do some exploring. I had a gut feeling it was going to be a pretty sunset so I decided last minute to hightail it over to the tower and see if I could make it in time for sunset. I was 40m away and sunset was in an hour.
I made it to the tower 20m before sunset and while I missed the beautiful golden hour glow on the city, I was treated with stunning views. I bought myself a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the city, in what ended up being a pretty magical night.
So… worth it or not? I think it depends. Have you done something similar before? If so, probably not. If its new for you then yes! head up and get those sky scraper views. They also have an edge walk which is super fun and makes it a more thrilling experience! I did this back in New Zealand but once is enough, especially for the $200 price tag. What do you think?
