This is a simple design that I first used a couple years ago. I aimed to make a new version but a bit smaller and lighter for ease of travel. I used ash for the whole chair and finished it with Osmo Polyx oil. I'm 6 ft 170 lbs and the chair held up fine on the beach for a couple hours. It's more comfortable than it looks though making it slightly larger might improve comfort.
