Chris Rock has been dishing out some serious dating & marriage advice lately. And people need to listen up because he's right. Marriages are definitely not as tough as people make them out to be. It is only hard for selfish people with Disney-level, unrealistic expectations. Most people know what they should be doing to make the marriage work- better or make their partners happier--getting people to accept that and actually do it without their ego getting in the way is the problem. Personally, I think most marriages if most people would follow the one rule Chris Rock laid out. If you are married, all you should be doing is f---ing and going places.

I think that’s what happens when you move too fast and put so much stock on the instantaneous satisfaction. Nowadays everyone wants the whole dish yesterday, but I think relationships need to be done slowly. The first thing you mentioned was sex, no character, connection, life vision, etc. Those are what make a relationship a good one, not, “Oh he or she is hot!”
