You and another youtuber convinced me to get mines a few months back in red 2023 model. I'm not gonna mod only change the exhaust out, I've been loving it so far. Awesome video and can't wait to see your next new car!!

This last weekend I had the resonator taken out of my Kons N a good improvement in sound.

@@Jcrash1 I took both of them out much deeper sound and better burbles. Im having a system made to my specs but just wanted to do the resonators first for the fun of it. in normal or eco its sounds regular but sport it sounds good just no pops but N mode it sounds nice.

Volvo EX30 AWD was something I was looking at before I decided I'll just keep the car till it dies unless the id.2all GTI/R comes to America. It's still small but slightly bigger then the Kona N and really fast. I find it also happens to look really sleek.

Thanks for posting the video. I considered the Kona N in 2022 and regret not buying it. While I understand you are driving a lot of miles, I am surprised at the number of sets of tires you have gone through. Is it due to aggressive driving, something with the car, or something else? I have the DSW06 plus on my daily driver and they have about 30,000 miles on them and I expect another 20,000 or so.

Hey, thanks for the comment. The original set of tires I had were pirelli p zeros and they’re well know for having trash tread life. The dws06 after those were great but they probably didn’t last long due to the fact that I went to the drag strip with those but also due to just aggressive driving in general. I feel like these N cars or any sports car for that matter will run through tires if you’re a spirited driver

@@KonaNthusiast Thanks for the explanation. I anticipated the original tires to not have a long tread life since they were summer performance tires. The DSW06 is an all season tire that would have lasted longer without the aggressive driving. I am surprised that you did not stick with summer performance tires given your driving style.

@@Andrew-zs5tc no problem! So generally speaking, summer performance tires are a lot more expensive than all season performance tires. But, I am currently using Firestone firehawk Indy 500 tires, for a summer tire they are really good in cold temps.

Have you had any issues with the knock sensor while washing the car i took mine to a self wash and had the knock sensor code pop up and put my car in limp mode any suggestions

@@relaxedsloth9227 I have not had this issue surprisingly but from what I’ve heard, it is really common for the Elantra and Kona N. I’d suggest taking it to the dealer, they usually get it fixed pretty quickly

Do you know which DCT gear fluid they used for the transmission flush?

So I went to gen racer’s website and bought the motul high torque fluid that’s specifically for the wet DCT. I went with the high torque fluid because of my car having JB4

@@KonaNthusiast I’m going to use that as well, how long was the service at the dealer? And was there any difficulty for them that they told you about?

@@fpsreese the service was 1.5-2 hours. The first dealer I went to refused to do it because they didn’t want to “contaminate” their machine with aftermarket fluid 🙄 So I ended up going to a rural dealer about an hour away and they took care of it with no issues.

So the right axle boot was found to be leaking the first time. The second time both axle boots were looking, it was covered under warranty each time.

I think you meant to say that the new (2025) Kona N Line is bigger, but that car is now based on the KIA Seltos platform. The N Line only offers a 1.6T engine that maxes out at 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque linked to a conventional 8-speed, torque-converter automatic transmission. If Hyundai does wind up offering a true Kona N for 2025, its most likely to be an electric car. 😥

I’m sure it does but it’d be a tight squeeze. Rear facing seats take up a lot of space, doesn’t leave much room for the front passenger

@@gionieves2646 yeah same here, I just want something with more space. The Kona is one of the smallest 4 doors I’ve ever owned, so it’s been an adjustment but I still want a little bit more room to stretch out haha
