@dir-gk
@dir-gk 3 жыл бұрын
Not the best yet, lyrics are dope. Bars are incredible. Instrumentals are incredible, but I felt like its kind of missing a theme except for it being fire and hype af. I love the hype but i just dont see a theme like wolf, fb, igor, old shit etc. No hate, i love tyler, just hope for it to have as much replay value as the other albums. Idk, maybe its just a "i made it/flexing" album not meaning to be too deep like the other albums. I really hope it grows on me, shits fire nonetheless.

Man I loved this album. He went in a very interesting way of storytelling that I was not expecting like you said with him giving us little pieces of the story . And I thought about the connection this album had with Igor how it ends sort of like Igor. How he ends up wanting to be friends even after everything he has done. Like in Igor he wanted the guy with the female love triangle. But this time he focused on the girl instead of the male. Sorry if I didn’t say it perfectly well but I loved the album . I think Wayne had the best feature btw. Especially how he wrapped everything up with Wilshire and safari.

@@Jackk7777 music wise it’s possible. His earlier work hurts him a bit. But his last 4 albums quality wise can go toe to toe with Kanye. Plus his fashion/ personality makes it a fair comparison. However, I doubt he’ll be as innovative as Kanye. Tyler perfects his synth sound and changes it up. Whereas Kanye does completely different new styles. I think that, indeed, the 'Tyler Baudelaire' persona is a genuine expression of how Tyler the creator sees himself as it's not that hard to find lots of links between Baudelaire's and Tyler's biography. Baudelaire was a French poet whose father died when he was young, and then had a very conflictual relationship with his mom's second companion. He developed a love for poetry at a very young age and wanted to live off of it, which wasn't what his stepfather wanted, so he sent him on a journey to India to get a military formation. But, Baudelaire rejected that, and while he was on his way to India, he decided to stay at some French islands around Madagascar called Mayotte and fell in love with the islands. He was then forced to come back to France, as his stepfather was obviously upset that he wouldn't go to India, and started to study poetry at a school he then got banned from for not denouncing one of his friends. He then set up to write what would then become one of the most influential but also controversial collections of poems, Les Fleurs du Mal. Influential, because he was one of the first poets to ever break away from the poetic tradition of writing about nature, love, etc. to write about much darker and weirder themes, like humanity's vices, drugs (he wrote most of these poems while actually being high lmao) death, and even homosexuality in poems like 'Lesbos'. Controversial for the exact same reasons, which lead to the collection being publicly denounced, and partially censored when it came out, in 1857. Simply being aware of Baudelaire's biography makes so much more sense as to why Tyler chose this new persona.

🔥👏This gonna do mad numbers, so dynamic you can listen to the whole album in many different ways. You can listen to it and chill while doing something, or focus and listen to the amazing songwriting and production, and in some song just straight up get lit, with that different flow and the great but unusual feature like dugg or NBA. Album of the year for me.💯

Pretty much why I'd didn't make a best albums so far cause specifically cause Tyler was Finna drop a banger; the best features are Domo Youngboy & Wayne they fit the theme of the album perfectly well as Wayne u would expect didn't mention on expectations him & Tyler work together well. Damn I'd feel like a psychic cause thus far not a single skip on here; almost as if he had to get back rapping with some swagger & gratification. This is a beautiful track, Tyler loses himself in his music and his art which is astonishing in itself. This album uses an amazing story/example per say of him chasing his love and ended up losing himself, he manages to uses this story with such emotion, way more convincing that what he ever did with Igor, this feels real when you really pay attention to the album with real life comparisons. I haven’t listened too much to have favorites but I know the story is already amazing and it’s only been a day.

@@NFRPodcast For me IGOR is more catchy and addictive but I feel this album definitely has a lot more meaning into it, it touches something close to Tyler and you can hear it on every track, you can hear how many different ways he explains his feelings on every track, so yes I do believe musically this album is better because it hits something way more deep to Tyler’s life and his story to the point where you can hear it in melody of each track.
