Some of those locks would be impossible (or very difficult) to get the bolt cutters in a position that would effectively cut the shackle, IF the locks were connected to a hasp or latch... especially considering that you could barely get the cutters in to cut some of the shackles with them just loose on the table.

@mherrmann81687 2 жыл бұрын
@@Fierriel I wasn't talking about the regular MasterLocks that you would find on HS lockers... I was referring to the reinforced ones, with high walls or extra buffering around the shackle... The ones he couldn't even get the shackle as deep into the bolt cutter jaws to bite as much as he wanted because the jaws were too big. (Including the one that was stil unopenable after he cut it from the top... the only place for a hatch) Now, I'm not saying that better quality, (even slightly) slimmer cutters couldn't handle the job and potentially fit in the small gap. What I am saying is that due to their cost-saving (aka cheap) quality HF bolt cutters are too bulky and would not make a great first choice...

i have an unusual hobby called magnet fishing. it uses neodymium magnets, super heavy duty strength. some can pull over 2000lbs. id love to see you do some vids with these magnets. can be very dangerous so be careful

Masterlock; easy to pick but incredibly tough to break.

12:40 yeah, but Tyler, if that lock would be in use you wouldn't even be able to cut it there. because the blocks on the side would prevent you from being able to rotate it sideways.

3:36 Be careful when cutting like that. It puts a lot of torque on your triceps. I ripped mine a few months ago using a large set of cutters like that. Took over a month for it to heal, and you lose a large range of motion while it’s healing.

It's funny to think that even though these locks broke fairly easily, they are still harder to break than they are to pick. lol.

PS: the different gradients of re bar make a good comparative test on something you would use them for quite often.

I have a set of these in my semi truck to cut the bolt locks they put on trailers for delivery. Love em they cut super smooth. And have a small 12in set for the cable ties.

Had to cut a lock once because I lost the key. Found some bolt cutters and cut the lock off just to find the key 2 minutes later. It was an awesome experience.

Those U-shaped locks need a saw. My mum once broke her keye in her bike lock and my dad spend about a halb an hour with a hand metal saw to cut that lock.

I was wondering if a good ratchet strap around the handle grips might not be a good way to get the required force. Probably not the best way to get through a lock like that but, as noted, the purpose of the video was to see if he could CUT them.

The Lock Picking Lawyer almost never really tests a lock. Maybe you can destructively test locks? 😊

I wonder if you connect the opposite ends of the handles to your pulley system would it be enough to break the bike lock? You probably need something to stop the handles from flipping but it could be that extra force you needed?

I like how you specifically mentioned that blue dial lock is what you’d use in middle school lockers because that’s exactly what i know them for Actually funny story if you were unfortunate enough to have the lowest locker and one of those off brand color locks just like yours then there was a 99% chance I could kick it straight open first try But the black dial master locks I couldn’t kick open

In what world are you going to cut those locks like that. The walls are to protect from cuts so you have to cut on the walls because the hook piece will be protected by whatever it’s attached to
