"Bad" is my all time favorite U2 song. It just takes you to a different place, like no other song I've ever heard does. I've seen U2 live three times and they never played at any of the shows I went to.

I was 15 about to turn 16 when Live-Aid happened in Philly. I was full in on rap and Run DMC was my favorite rap group. I snuck in when food was being delivered. I was standing near a few security guards and I heard my description come over their walkie-talkies. I walked away and hid in a port-o-potty for awhile. The concert was in mid July and in Vet Stadium. It was hot. There were two little holes right by where you turn the dial to lock the door. Lots went by but the I saw Run, D and J coming my way. I got out said hello and took a picture. When I was in college they were on the decline and playing at basically a bar called the Channel in Boston and I got the 3 of them to sign the picture I took. Run was looking at it and started saying, Man those were the days. We were on top of the world. Then a few years later my sister was the editor of Rev Run’s book. If live aid happened today Man they’d probably be on a Zoom conference call.

Shawn - Thank you so much for watching to and reacting to this version of U2's song called Bad. While this was a very good performance for the band, you edited out what made this performance so legendary. The lead singer felt that he needed to connect with the audience as he felt to far away thus he went to a secondary stage. Once there, he saw that a brown skinned girl was being crushed by the crowd. His choice was to either get her to safety and ruin the set as they would not have enough time to play their hit song. Bono chose to help save the girl from being crushed, thus the legend was born. Would you consider re-editing this video or adding that part? Thanks!

OK Shawn being a fan of the band for the past 40 years im gonna give you a run down of the best live band ever " they are from Dublin in Ireland and were formed in 1976 by the drummer " Larry mullen jr " the band are as follows lead singer Bono lead guitar the Edge bass guitar " Adam Clayton " and drums Larry mullen jr " check out Pride in the name of love they wrote as a tribute to Martin luther king " they have one the best collection of songs of any band in musical history " where the streets have no name " with or without you " one" are just a few of theyre best hits

Others have already said it, but this is absolutely a dead horse that needs needs to be remain being beaten... To skip through any video in a reaction is a disservice to the reaction. But 1) you ask us to watch to the end, and by cutting/fastfowarding you are not really watching all the way through 2) As, everyone mentions, not just here, but all accounts of the Live Aid concerts state that Queen and U2 rose far and away above all other acts. Queen had already conquered the work and performing in large stadiums, U2 was on their way up. You cut out/fastforwarded through what the majority of people, critics and artists point to as one of THE MOMENTS, not just U2's set, but of Live Aid, and life performance in general. Queen put on a masterful performance of stadium rock. U2 broke down barriers, leaped through the wall between artist and audience (figuratively and literally), and gave us a moment of equal parts power passion, intimacy, spontaneity, and spirit. ...you even cut the very end where it picked up again.
