UConnect radio will NOT play music

PLEASE HELP... my UConnect radio will take phone calls but will not play music...🤷🏽‍♀️

when your phone is connected select the radio/media button then choose AUX on the radio screen then your device and it should now stream your music from your phone. When it auto connects it will only auto connect for phone calls only, to stream music you must select it as an AUX device each time you want to stream your music Reply

Jeffery Rumbaugh A million thank you’s! I never would have figured that out & both my USB outlets shorted out so Bluetooth was my only hope...now I have music again!

The setting came undone and I couldn’t remember what the fix was...I finally found my original “thank you” because this “fix” is seemingly impossible to find easily elsewhere...so again, thank you!

Jeffery Rumbaugh, I have AUX but the only way it seems to make sense is if I connect my phone to the Aux socket...are you saying that it should automatically connect from our phone in AUX mode? Because that isn’t working for me. Or does the vehicle year matter?

What year model do you have? I have a 2010 Chrysler 300c and I have the same issue. From what I've read, 2010 and earlier Uconnect audio can only be used for calls and no music. Sucks!

Ok told ya I was gonna fix it connect it back USB then switch it to phone play method

I have a 2011 Chrysler 200 and mine has that ❌ too all of the sudden. It hasn't always been like that. I have played music through it b4.. idk what 2 do. But if i fix it ill comment back how

I don’t think it plays music Mine has the same set up and will only play music through the aux not Bluetooth you can only recieve calls through it

I have similar problem. When i try blutooth it shows reading .... then gives error failed to play. But on my iphone it shows i am streaming through uconnect

Anybody figure it out because a friend of my got in my car used my aux an now when unpluggedb she csn play music thru Bluetooth on my system

@@Ayetee26 I fixed the issue , restart car and plug it over again and try it. Once it connect pull cord out

I have a similiar problem, it connects to my Macbook automatically but not my phone. And it will not play any music either. Shows the Macbook as a phone with 100% battery and Signal which is obviously uh. _incorrect_

I had a same problem, i Bought Bluetooth FM transmitter and connected my phone to it and set the frequency of car FM as shown on transmitter,, problem solved
