Having months to prepare for a fight and not being able to make weight and feel well enough to fight is unprofessional as fuck. If you're naturally more than 15-20 pounds over the weight class you're fighting at you should just not be allowed to cut down to that weight. Its inexcusable for a champion to pull that crap. Hurts the opponent, hurts the UFC and most importantly hurts the fans who paid $50 to see a fight that's not gonna happen. Disgracefulness.

If you make weight and get medically cleared but decide to pull out 3 hours before the event start it should be a loss. Even kids who play minor league basketball, baseball,football and hockey would get a loss if they decide to not show up to a game. How in the hell are we supposed to consider this sport as serious as the major 4 if shit like this can be pulled by the "champion"? Imagine game 7 in the finals or the super bowl and one of the teams decides to no show hours before a game because some of their players are feeling a bit "under the weather". Do you think they would just re-schedule? No they would have some integrity and DQ them for not showing up.
