I occasionally do drop my name into the opener, but it's super quick right after I say "hello, [PROSPECT'S NAME]..." Then I go in with the 1st example you give here. I've noticed later in our conversation they do call me by my name. It's like you say, delivery is everything, so even introducing yourself can work if your delivery is on point.

I can attest these all work brilliantly. The close I’ve been using recently is: “look I don’t want to waste your time by sending you a boring email. If I could show you how we’ve helped your biggest competitor do xyz would it be a complete waste of your time to see how we do it?” Would love to hear your top 3 closes Benjamin. Definitely interesting and different, but not every culture is the same. If you try these with I don’t know, Chinese people, you’d be considered very unprofessional. Very hard to generalize these things.
